I'm not sure if this helps but you can Google PLUTO TV on your computer and stream it for free without having to sign in.
(at least here in the USA)

Since I'm no internet expert I have to ask, does this not work elsewhere?

It does. But the content is localized.
Which in Germany means German dub.
So, if only technology existed that would tell the service we are streaming in a different country.

You're trying too hard to make everything look like doom and gloom and twist it into a negative. That's what comes off as desperation.

They made a mistake and didn't take their fans into consideration, and now they're trying to rectify that mistake with a temporary solution. Don't make it into something it's not just to satisfy whatever negative narrative you're going for across all these threads.

Probably another dumb question, but again no expert...,

What exactly does a "VPN" enable one to do with stuff like this?
(I kinda-sorta get what it is, but my understanding is sketchy)

I'll watch it for free and save my pennies for the Bluray later.

It essentially allows you to surf the public internet with your own private network, so your browsing history, IP address, and personal details are hidden. It's especially useful for bypassing geo-locking restrictions so you can view content that is only available in other countries, like certain YouTube videos and so forth.

I've got it on my smart TV and Fire Stick too. Despite minor differences on the look of their front end, I can confidently say that the menus are a nightmare, the programme guide useful only for the next couple of hours and the favouriting facility seems somewhat pointless without an option to view and access your favourites. Amateur hour stuff.

But if channel option 52 shows Disco 4.1 tomorrow I'll be quite happy !

    AH... Thank you.
I have it on my phone due to using the Norton 360 security app, so I was aware of it's existence but not really what it did. :techman:

My country doesn’t have it while it has Netflix. It’s CBS lost.

I'm not pissed at all. You are misinterpreting my posts.
I'm full of Schadenfreude because of ViacomCBS' corporate blunders and this PR disaster.
The short notice, the back and forth. This is just another piece of evidence that shows how mismanaged Star Trek is.
Oh, and BTW ViacomCBS's stock did fall under $30 today.

The entire Dow is down significantly today, as a result of the Omicron variant.

But I’m sure that’s because of how horrible Paramount is.

It's amazing that how one company can do that. Also, shall sing ding-dong the witch is dead? Amazes me the depths of human unkindness.
