It's just a dramatic concept from science fiction. Nothing wrong with it.
Why would they go cheap? They are front loaded with two seasons to produce, so going cheaper makes less sense since they know they are filming more, vs. Season 1 which was not a guarantee of not being a one off.I get the feeling they are going cheap again from this. First couple of eps in the will show how things change then the bulk of the season is spent in current day Earth. Then back for a wrap up. Going light on effects because they don't have as big a budget? Return of the cut and paste fleet? Just a feeling and I want to be wrong.
Save for the fact that it's a new showrunner.I said It's just a feeling. I don't have a ton of trust in their decisions. The cut and paste fleet gives me pause.
That was because it was a last minute decision. It was time, not budget. The cut and paste fleet gives me pause.
I wish you luck.I'll be hoping for the best. Even if I'm right I'll still keep watching it. I was able to walk away from other shows that I became disappointed by but I can't quit Star Trek. I'll just yell at the screen.
