Yeah I should have made that clearer. The rumour is that he won't be in season 4 (or very limited role) because he was working on another project while Season 4 was filming. It's great for him, but I was hoping that Bryce would get more airtime this year.
Heh ... He's probably getting more income for the new role, as compared to his limited role on Discovery. I would guess the financial stability he's hoping for with this new show was a major motivator for dropping out.
If anyone follows the Star Trek Logs Instagram account, they just posted a pretty big hint for Gray’s future in the show, as well as a potential Picard reference. I won’t spoil it here, but it sounds very intriguing.
Just checked that out. Spoiler Apparently, Culber's working on an android body for Gray. Eh? Since Adira being on a holodeck was enough to render Gray as a hologram, wouldn't it be much easier for Adira to go back to a holodeck, then give holographic Gray a mobile emitter so he can exist outside the holodeck?
Speaking of the mobile emitter, the Doctor should still be around, since he's a program. Not to mention his duplicate from Living Witness...
Spoiler: Gray The subtle-as-a-sledgehammer trans references probably come more easily with literally building the body you want.
I wonder what they did with the hundreds that were mining dilithium, now that there was no more dilithium left to mine.
Spoiler or a Picard golum. I know tech can be lost over time but I just find the idea that you can't just whip up a replicated body in the 32st century to be a bit daft
I find the idea of the OLD Picard golum idiotic. I mean if my consciousness is to be transferred into an android body, I want it to be young and fit and of extraordinary beauty, otherwise, what's the point?
Wasn't Spock building robot bodies for alien consciousness in TOS S3? It would have been their ideal opportunity to recast.
Well, then he should be dead because he was suffering from a fatal incurable disease. "I think of time as a companion that makes you old and sick to remind you that being old and sick sucks."
