S4 coming Nov 18!

This is a bit strange article. I don't doubt it's real, and it really looks like we are not getting Discovery S4 outside of NA anytime soon (altough some regions have P+ but thatd beside the point). Anyway, the article claims for some reason that TOS, VOY and ENT have already left the service. I just checked and they are still there, at least for me. Well probably see tomorrow if Discovery actually leaves.

It is confusing, since the main subject of the article is the international rights, but ‪‪I believe the author was referring to TOS, VOY & ENT leaving Netflix in the US recently, which is accurate.

Well this is interesting. We have Paramount plus in Australia and got Prodigy on it's release date. However all the Star Trek series are still available on Netflix Australia. So I'm wondering if that will change come friday. God Damn it JUST TELL ME WHERE I CAN WATCH THE SHOW.

I can only assume that Paramount are gonna buy out their contracts with Amazon Prime also, meaning Picard S2 and Lower Decks S3 are gonna appear on International P+.

I agree. After this move it seems inevitable, and I would think those buy-outs/renegotiations of terms might happen sooner than later.

This reeks of CBS holding out to the last minute for more money from someone.

Every year I see a scroll across the screen bottom on CBS warning consumers they are going to lose CBS unless whatever cable/satellite provider CBS is holding hostage gives in to CBS demands.

So looks like this time they got all of Europe on the hook.

It's the opposite of what happened. According to Deadline, they paid a large sum of money to Netflix to buy out their "in perpetuity" contract with them. The same contract that paid for the entire first season of Disco (meaning they were in the green before it even premiered on CBS All Access back in 2017), so it can't have been cheap.

Expect the same to happen with their contracts with Amazon Prime shortly. No Picard season 2 or Lower Decks season 3 unless it's on Paramount+.

Lol if they think anyone is gonna pay for a series that aired 2 months ago in the US.

I just won't watch and probably won't pick it back up anytime soon. I might get P+ if all the classic Trek moves there though.

Very disappointed by this news, it seems like Paramounts strategy for dealing with territories outside of North America is completely shambolic, with poor communication and delays. It’s almost like the people in charge haven’t realised that we aren’t in the 90’s anymore with spoilers instant around the world.

I wonder if when it does come to paramount+ Outside N America if they will put all the episodes on in 1 go or if we will still have wait weekly.

in the past few years we’ve had off the top of my head these delays

Short Treks season 1 not being available until the day before season 2 of discovery launching

Delays to short treks season 2 ( in which the only way to watch the majority of them was to buy the dvd / Blu-ray and the children of mars short trek is still locked behind the Picard season 1 blu-ray

Delay in launching Season 1 of Lower decks by several months

Delay in Star Trek Prodigy launch to who knows when

Now Disco season 4 delayed for at least several months.

Paramount forcing fans into piracy.

Netflix
Prime
Disney+
Spotify
All 4+
X Box Game Pass

I pay enough out in monthly sub money to various subscription services.

That is true..and I do not see people paying for Netflix migrating in mass to Paramount+ either.
Plus if you wait few extra months you might get it already on Blu-ray.

It does suck some though, because I was looking forward of seeing the season 4 from Netflix.
They could have also picked to better time to inform us about this stuff..and not day or two before the season premiere.
Will be also quite difficult for international fans to avoid spoilers for next few months or so, not that those bother everyone of course.
