I can't say I was all that excited about S4 of Discovery, but now I'm just angry at Paramount.

And these conglomerates wonder why piracy is back on the rise after they started breaking things up and making things less convenient for consumers.

We all know this is Kurtzman’s doing. He’s just pure evil. :)

I doubt they wonder why. Just a matter of mitigating the impact...and hopefully they will be doing so soon.

actually seeing Admiral Vance looking emotional at the sight of it was awesome to see. He's probably waited his entire career for Starfleet and the Federation to return to its former glory and mission of exploration.

They'll simply blame the pirates rather than blame themselves for not selling their products.

Somewhere, the spirit of Jonathan Archer just said: "Thanks. I'm honored."

Then got beaten up by a spirit of an Andorian.

I'm hoping the first new ship built and launched from Archer spacedock is a new Enterprise

Well, if they are referencing Archer then the Enterprise seems inevitable, doesn't it?

At this point they may have worked their way through the whole alphabet.

The new one will be NCC-1701-Here We Go All Over Again.

Or, no Enterprise at all. It will be the Columbia or Yorktown.

I suspect the Voyagers might now be Starfleet's flagship. At the very least, Voyager J sounds like an extremely prestigious posting since the Federation President herself is the one who decides who commands it.

One of my hunches this year is that Saru will wind up captaining Voyager, at least for a time. Either that or it's where he's headed at the end of the season.

If neither of those things proves true, then maybe the Starfleet Academy show is actually set in the 32nd century, and Voyager-J is a mainstay for off-world missions. I dunno. Something!

When we were playing Trek as kids, I said I'm from the NCC-1701-D, and asked what ship my friend was from - the answer was: NCCC-1700-72.
