I like that even better.Boimler: "That's a Klingon? Why does he look so different than all the other Klingons we've seen?"
Mariner: "Who cares?"

If "Enterprise" is allowed into canon then so is everything else.
I thought up a bit of a neat one that would tie-in really closely with a season 3 Disco episode. The episode where Linus the Saurian was having trouble figuring out his new personal transporter and kept popping up at random spots on the ship at inappropriate moments, Lower Decks could tie into that by just having Linus randomly pop up on the Cerritos, look around, and ask "where am I even at this time?" before tapping his badge and beaming away.It would be hard for Lower Decks to reference Discovey because the first two seasons have been classified and the third season onwards takes place 800 years after Lower Decks.
Quantum.^ Would take some handwaving to explain why Linus' tricom badge was transporting him through time...
Kinda makes you realise how hard it is for the Lower Decks writers, they have to make sure people don't carve their gags up with nitpicksSigh. It's just a joke. Meant only to illicit laughter, not be analyzed and nitpicked.

It would also be hard for Lower Decks to reference Picard since PIC doesn't happen for another 18 years and -- being part of the back end of the Fleet -- the Cerritos wouldn't be on the front lines helping the Romulans try to evacuate. I don't think that's what the ship would be doing.

"I saw a Koala!"I'd watch for appearances of the Red Angel suit. They'd sneak it in somehow.
