News The Disney+ (The New Streaming Service) Thread

I'm thinking about watching Enchanted sometime this weekend. I've always wondered why Enchanted was left off the original Disney+ launch but it was added today, and I like Amy Adams. I've actually never seen that movie.

Along with the Marvel stuff they also announced a couple of new Pixar series, Cars on the Road, which see the return of Owen Wilson as McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater, and Win or Lose which will follow the members of a co-ed softball team, with each episode focusing on a different character. I'm kinda meh on Cars, so no real interest in that one, but Win or Lose sounds like it could be fun.

Anyone catch the Willow promo? Classic Extras/Life's Too Short-style Warwick Davis.

I just found myself interestingly most excited for this above all other announcements today. And good call on his comedy style, he is sooo good at that. Loved Life's Too Short so much. (Funniest thing I EVER saw in my life was him trying to defiantly grab his award from the shelf.)

Willow..
Uhhh.. Where's the other dwarfs?
The thing I like was it showed DWARFS not cgi'd short people.. Ugh.. Tweens

I signed up for the $2 promo. Had a friends password I traded my Crave access for but they cancelled a few months back. Was wondering if some new stuff would get added for "Disney+ Day" but don't see much more than was there a few months ago. Ah well, it's $2 to rent Shang Chi and Tombstone.

25 new programs were added today.

"X-Men 97", a sequel to the original X-Men animated series, will be coming to Disney plus. Also coming will be the new shows "Spider-Man freshman year", and "Marvel Zombies".

Apparently, Spider-Man show will be part of the MCU continuity. Maybe we'll finally see the MCU version of Peter's origin story.

I'm so excited for X-Men 97. It was a very fun show. The original show was far from flawless, it didn't allow much action because of censorship stuff, but it was one of the only superhero cartoons to actually adapt a bunch of comics for its episodes, along with having many multi part stories because of that. Continuing that show, but in 2021 where its action can actually be good, is just great.

As for spider-Man, I don't really like the MCU Spider-Man so I probably won't watch that. I'm also not a huge fan of either the comic or What If versions of Marvel Zombies, but i'll probably at least try it.

Is it confirmed any of these actors are playing Nelwyn?
Most guesses for the first actor there is Madmartigan's son. Definitely not a Nelwyn. One is maybe Elora. And gotta be a few Brownies...

Maybe in the US. In Canada there was a half dozen or so, and other than Shang Chi those were old Pixar specials and making of shows. We got the Star collection awhile back, which was great, but signing back in after a few mo this I'm not seeing anything really that was added that interests me at all.

That's all fine and good. But need more nelwins than just willow. And in leading positions.

That's perfect casting. Kevin J. Anderson has a Captain Nemo book that I really enjoyed reading in high school. A friend borrowed that and my copy of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford... and never gave them back. Curse him!

Why? When Samwise, I mean, Meegosh left him, Willow was the only Nelwyn in the group for the remainder of the movie.
We also don't know if this was every lead in the video. Lots of conclusion jumping.

Shazad? Hmm. This might work, hoping it was just the material he was given on Disco that made him Smarmy..
Atleast they got the Race right this time, Indian.

@M'rk son of Mogh
Was just hoping, Dwarfs don't get many chances at acting jobs, Warwick is somewhat a special case since he was Wicket and Willow, and a good friend of George so he had chances.
This also goes to Really tall people to. Hope people who don't get chances or are typecast get more oportunities.

Little people. Or are we back to dwarfs being the preferred term?
And Shazad Latif is Pakistani/English/Scottish not Indian.

Watching Shang-Chi and it’s not really the IMAX format. It’s more square shaped. This is just 16:9 nearly
