News The Disney+ (The New Streaming Service) Thread

So I've been binging Scrubs a lot on Disney+, and I've had two episodes where the 4:3 aspect ratio seems squashed. Anyone else had this issue?

*EDIT* Definitely a D+ issue. I checked settings on my tv, even checked other shows on other streamingservices with shows in 4:3. Pretty annoying, but it is what it is.

^ I think the European D+ has a lot of content that might be on Hulu or otherwise in the US. Disney Star or something like that.

That is correct, Star. Access to it depends on the age settings.

I signed up for The Orville, but since that hasn't arrived yet, I've been using the same service to rewatch the first three seasons of 9-1-1.

Yup, we do.

I don't know about Hulu content, but yeah, Disney Star has loads of movies and shows.

I would be ok with The Orville. Never watched it sofar.

What do you think the odds are that there will be a twist revealing him as a proto falcon who served with Isaiah in Korea to tie it into Marvel?

The Rocketeer to come back as a retired Tuskegee Airman?

Could be interesting if it's set in like the 50s/60s.
Wow, I hadn't expected we would see The Rockteer come back. That would be fun.

That could work. I'm still happy if it remains it's own thing. They could spin it into more of it's own franchise without Marvel.

I heard that Disney Plus in the UK is releasing Venom Let there be Carnage on November 13th. Surely that can't be right can it? I think the person is maybe confusing it with the Sky channels over there.

I literally gasped when I saw the X-Men 97 news. That's absolutely amazing. I wonder if they will do something to tie up the loose ends from the Spider-man animated series.

I would also like to see them chronicle the missing 5 years of Bruce Banner's story from between his origin and the movie, which includes his association with perennial Marvel sidekick Rick Jones.

It's kind of weird how D+ chooses to just show (the D+ day promo material) on D+ and not use a more open platform like Youtube where it might convert someone who doesn't have the service to get it.
They are doing a promo with Hasbro where you get a free month of Disney+ with a Hasbro Plus purchase.
