It's been my pet theory that people that think this is a happy normal relationship, have never experienced one of their own. My wife and I fight about once every 3-5 years, and don't tip-toe around each other, and walk on eggshells, like the Obrien's, more specifically Miles. And, yes, if my wife also thinks Keiko is a "Karen", is it misogyny, or is it just plain as day that the two of them don't belong together. And I didn't use the "b" word, you folks defending Keiko did. I just think her and Miles don't belong together...and maybe she's a Pah Wraith UNTIL the end "The Assignment"
Well, my point wasn't exactly that theirs is the happiest marriage I've ever seen on television, but that it was one of the most
realistic ones. And that's on account of them having a difference of opinion every once in a while about important stuff in their lives. You yourself are saying that you and your wife fight about every 3 to 5 years. What makes you think the few moments of them arguing on the show
aren't actually those kind of rare arguments? I don't know, I just think it's odd to extrapolate from the handful of moments we actually do see them clashing that their whole marriage is somehow not right.
By the way, I never said
you were calling her a bitch, now did I? I'm paraphrasing what many people before you have said about her here in the 10+ years I've been following these kind of discussions here. Believe me, this has come up a couple of times.
Also, your wife calling Keiko a “Karen” is a little offensive, wouldn't you say? It's a term used for white women abusing their privilege, often to harm people of color. So I'm not sure how that would apply here even remotely.

But then again, you'll probably claim this was satire and not meant to be taken seriously in a moment.
...and a possible explanation for why she's so stern and unfeeling towards Miles occasionally.
God forbid a wife being stern and unfeeling from time to time. I'm not even sure what moments from the show you are referring to with that, but why would that make her so terribly unlikable as a character or a wife?
So hating on Keiko is a thing? Huh. Thought I might've noticed after 20+ years here but I suppose you can't notice every oddity.
Yeah, I never would have guessed either before joining this board. It comes up every now and then.
