9 for me, not as good as last episode but darn good.
    Cetation ops!
    Horny Belugas
    Weird anal probe Rutheford memory..
No glass front screen! (Eat it disco!)
    Tendii getting promoted to science

And remove the outter hull! Can't do that without braking the budget on a live action! Animation rules!

Missed a good opportunity to introduce captain Ezri dax and the Aventine ... Owell..

Beckett sees herself as a rebel like Kirk was and someone who thinks outside the box.

Despite how irksome she can be, it's objectively true she is a rebel and thinks outside the box. Now one can point to Kirk generally having a lot more respect for protocol than Beckett has ever shown, and of course, Kirk generally avoiding the full-of-herself attitude that Beckett has. But it's generally clear that in Beckett's time, a lot of people frown on the "cowboy diplomacy" Kirk embodied.

Over the series, we haven't seen very many people wash out of Starfleet, and Beckett seems to succeed enough to have people overlook her attitude.

Surely captain Janeway should have been arrested? She was the one on the planet

Rumor is that's why J.J.'s Enterprise has a window viewscreen. His production team misinterpreted that sensor pallet.

A combination of the two. It's a joke that in Star Trek few enemies rarely hack. Even if they did, they will succeed of fail based upon the needs of the plot so attempting to create rational security measures in Trek is amusing, at best.

Also, given that I work in healthcare and have to handle personal health information daily I better damn well know what cyber security is.

Also, also, October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month.
    Windows are better.

    Amusing fact:

Worf is one of the few people to ever hack a computer on Star Trek.

Sensor panels + Viewscreen is just a window with extra steps.

Looks like Mariner needs a new nemesis. The Kzinti perhaps?

    Good enough episode.
    PLUS:
The design of the Archimedes is gorgeous
Love the idea of jettisoning the hull plating
The senior staff losing their minds about Freeman transferring
    T’Ana hugging Tendi
Boimler getting to be a hero
    We must drink!!
Palled Planet being destroyed (I f-ing hate the Pakleds)

    MINUS:
    More Freeman / Mariner melodrama
Shady implant shenanigans which is likely to be yet another S31 appearance in Trek
    Sonya Gomez as a captain
I’m not a huge fan of Jennifer the Andorian

    Solid 8/10
This show is so much better when it is a lighthearted TNG riff and doesn’t to try to over-silly over-hyper everything.

The season ended strong. It was amazingly uneven for episodes 1-7, but the last 3 in a row have all been very enjoyable.

I read through a few pages, just had a question I haven't seen answered: Any explanation for the Ceritos having the "new" uniforms and the Archimedes seemingly having the FC onwards Grey topped uniforms?

Obvious it doesn't.atter, but I am curious. In Disco they played it off that the Enterprise was so much more important they got the new uniforms first, and Disco just hadn't recieved them yet. But in this case that's definitely not the same situation, the Cerritos being a 2nd (3rd, maybe 4th) tier ship....

Wow - that was more of a drama than a comedy. Loved it.

When T'Lynn transfers over (I'm almost certain she will), I wonder if we'll see some Vulcan/Andorian friction between her and Jennifer.

I wonder if Ransom will be acting Captain - and if not him, who will be instead.

Something I appreciated that I don't think I've seen mentioned yet is the moment where Billups says there's still one piece of hull plating left and Mariner responds "Boimler's got this, give him time." No snark or irony, just complete confidence from Mariner that he can do it. It put a smile on my face.

It hasn't been stated directly onscreen, but we can make some educated guesses. Due to the way the Live action shows rolled out new uniforms, Starfleet always has 2 uniform styles active at a time. And it seems like which one your ship gets might be largely up to the Captain. The Gray shoulder uniforms are Class B, they are less formal and replaced the Voyager style. The Cerritos uniforms are Class A and replaced the Next Generation Style. Riker doesn't have anything to prove so his crew gets to wear Class B. Freeman wants to be taken seriously so her ship wears Class A.
