Right as I clicked "Play" someone started cutting onions. And then the end.A fun behind-the-scenes feature showing Jason Momoa training to become Duncan Idaho:
My favourite bit was the sideways dig at the GoT finale.A fun behind-the-scenes feature showing Jason Momoa training to become Duncan Idaho:
Is there really a crossover between Trek and Dune fandom though? They are very different. Patrick Stewart even once stated that he just doesn't really like the book Dune despite being Gurney Halleck in the 1984 movie. (I know he's not really into sci-fi in general, but there was enough material in both Trek and X-Men that obviously kept Sir Patrick's interest over the years).I'm actually surprised so few trekbbs members have seen it. Only 3 people have voted in the rating thread. I thought there was more of a worldwide audience here.

Turns out we're going to Shang-Chi instead, you can hate me less now.![]()
It always amazes me how different the BTS footage of scenes being filmed looks, compared to what we see in the movie/TV show itself. It's amazing how much subtle manipulation there is of the image that you don't really notice in the final product.A fun behind-the-scenes feature showing Jason Momoa training to become Duncan Idaho:

I personally love the Dune books (well, the first three and the sidequels co-written by Herbert's son), and while they aren't very similar to Star Trek I don't see any reason why many people couldn't be fans of both.
Yes.there really a crossover between Trek and Dune fandom though?
@wayoung
The movie isn’t released here in New Zealand until OCT 21 - so until then, I won’t be able to post a rating.
But - come 21 Oct, I will!

There was a planet Arrakis on Voyager. Well, they spelled it differently, but it was pronounced the same.Trek has made numerous references to his books over the years.
