The Book Of Boba Fett

Yeah, I like the ST and all but the best time to be a SW fan was right after ROTS. Lots of fan groups, gaming and increased appreciation of the OT.
 
It's certainly been one of the better times, but not because of the ST so much as in spite of it, since pretty much literarily everything else Star Wars has been of a much higher quality than had previously been the case.

Of course the actual best time to be a Star Wars fan was whenever you were 8 years old. Whether that was in the late 70's, the mid-90's, the early 2000's, or right now; it was the best time.

Who needs Mandalorian or Book of Boba Fett, Obi Wan and Andor incoming + lots of other series, great games like Fallen Order and Squadrons, 5 films in the last few years with more on the way

"Fan groups" just after ROTS, now that was the time to be alive!

Community matters. No, I don't need Mandalorian, etc. It's nice but unneeded. But, if I don't have a community to share it with it's rather superficial.

Personally, I'm always partial to spring 1999, just before Phantom Menace was released. Star Wars was HUGE and EVERYWHERE. And there was no negativity, everyone was enthusiastic and excited about the franchise. It really was the best time to be a Star Wars fan, IMO.

I loved the spring of 99. Pepsi promos, buying so many cans, action figures, trying to figure out how to say "Amidala/Amidayla." That was the time I was far more active with SW fandom, and it ran in to ROTS. And, as much negativity as there was towards TPM there was still a measure of willingness to engage. It seems less so now, largely due to the more online nature of fandom, and the knee-jerk reactivity we all can be guilty of.
 
To be expected I guess, but still great to get confirmation.

Really looking forward to the show, funny how little we know about it, not even a cast list apart from MNW and obv TM.
 
I´m going to be 36.5 by then. Well, not a Christmas present but a half-birthday one. I´m looking forward to reading anything Boba Fett has written.
 
I’m not really surprised by the date. Boba Fett premieres on the same days as the Hawkeye season finale. If Boba came earlier it would overlap with Hawkeye too much. I don’t think they want Marvel and SW to cross the streams too much. Though with all the SW and Marvel content coming next year that might be hard to do.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually start releasing Star Wars and Marvel shows on different days, once both of them are fully up and running.
