I thought the zombie episode was pretty light in tone, if not in subject matter.

Looks like either the zombies start to spread to other universes, or the alternate heroes to help the zombie universe's heroes.
Didn't the comic's zombies show up in at least a couple different universes?

This does line up with some of the rumors that have been floating around about the biggest episode.

My least favorite episode so far. Never a big fan of zombie tales. Never bought or read a Marvel zombie comic. Next.

Just finished today’s. It was okay. I still think Killmonger is a stupid character. His plan just seems all over the place.
Black Panther was taken out rather easily as well.

Yep, the zombie FF pretended to be a regular FF and made contact with the ultimate FF, then tried to eat the world. Best thing that ever happened in the Ultimate Universe (which to be fair isn't that hard).

The Spidey series was good in the Ultimate universe. It went all went to shit when they have event and started killing random character gruesomely for no reason.
EDIT: Ultimatum. That’s what it was called.

That last episode just sort of ended. That was kind of a letdown. Was expecting the Pepper/Shuri Avengers Initiative.

I was wondering about the time frame of the story.
It must have taken place at least over the course of months if not a couple of years.
The end might put it just in line with Thor, TIH and the discovery of Cap.
Also through all this SHIELD didn’t make a peep for some reason?

It feels like it was purely designed as a rebuttal to the folks that pushed the dumb hashtag #KillmongerDidNothingWrong. I actually like the impulse of the episode essentially saying “no, this is a VERY toxic character” because he clearly was in the original film. That said, it’s probably the weakest episode for me. Aside from making a point of how much of a bad guy he is (as if the nickname KILLMONGER didn’t tell you enough), I didn’t get much out of this one. I did like seeing how Tony became an even worse person without the humbling he did in the original film (though locking himself with Killmonger was almost too dumb for his character, but I guess they’re trying to show how utterly arrogant and cocky he became).

I liked this one. I always wanted to see more of Jordan as Killmonger, and it's a clever idea to have him short-circuit the entire MCU age of heroes just by saving Tony Stark at the beginning of it all. I like the insight that they're both obsessive men driven by the loss of their fathers, so they basically enabled each other. Mick Wingert did an impressive job as Tony, though the other impressionists for Pepper, Stane, and Ross weren't quite as good (the stand-in for Shuri was fine, though).

In some ways, though, it was just an alternate route to get Killmonger to the same place he reached in Black Panther. Some of the beats of his plan, especially with Klaue, are pretty much the same. So maybe not as different as it could've been.

I'm a little unclear on the timeline -- is it consistent for T'Challa to be Black Panther this early?

Probably. This was less than ten years before the Black Panther movie, and his father might have reasonably retired already from the role.
It makes sense that he was a lot less experienced, though, explaining why Killmonger got the better of him that easily.
Even in his Prime they were evenly matched.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one and not just because it didn't go where I expected. Based on the trailers, I thought perhaps Killmonger rescuing Tony would lead to Tony creating Ultron even sooner...with better results and he would become the villain. Those Ultron drones are still coming, but for a different story.

And I think this story is better for it without Ultron. Instead, I loved seeing a different path for Killmonger to get his revenge by manipulating all sides to gain the power he so desperately sought...no matter the body count and the number of betrayals. It was certainly an effective one, fooling everyone, from Tony to T'Chaka to, of course, Gen. Ross (but then he's easy to play). Unsurprisingly, he did not manage to fool Shuri or Pepper and I would love to get a sequel to this story with them fighting back for both of their nations' sake.

I'm glad we got to hear one more interaction between Boseman and Jordan because I really enjoyed their chemistry together in Black Panther. This leaves Boseman with just one more episode and I'm not sure where it would fit with the three remaining episodes (Ultron drones, Grandmaster/Thor story, and the big finale the series appears to be building up to). Unless his final appearance is in the episode that was pushed back to season two.

According to the official Black Panther Prelude comic published by Marvel, T'Challa was already operating as Black Banther during the first Iron Man movie.

    A. Offer continuity question is, why does Killmonger have the exact same hairstyle a decade earlier and has anyone counted to kill scars and compared to his latest appearance? It looked just like in the movie to me.
Does that mean he hadn’t killed anyone in 10 years?

I forgot to mention this in my review but I loved how the Liberator drone design was very reminiscent to Hammer's drones from Iron Man 2.
