So around the turn of the new millenium, when I was first getting back into Star Trek, I used to frequent a website called "Pedro's Shiporama", which documented the various ships from Star Trek (Can't remember, but it seems like it was just Starfleet ships). I rememeber the first time I ever heard the Wrath of Khan theme was on this page, played at about half speed in midi format. You can still find it (I think) but it's been archived, so the music doesn't play anymore, and none of the starship description links work. You can still download the midi on some sites, but it's not the same. Anyway, was just wondering who all remembers this site?
Yep, I used to frequent it off and on. I was hoping to see his site continue on and expand, but alas it went the way of the dodo bird. For those folks not familiar with it.. here's a page about it with links to the Internet Archive site.

I'm sure I went to that site a lot along with ex astris scientia back in the day. Probably one or two others as well.
I think I eventually stopped because he stopped updating it, and it just ended up stuck in time — it seems like he stopped updating sometime before the end of DS9. And the fact that he's got pages for the Dauntless and Prometheus, but none for the intrepid-class is kind of a glaring omission in retrospect. Very much a relic of the dial-up age; all the pics are low-res. Even by this time, better quality pics were showing up on EAS.
I had completely forgotten about that page but I think I used it a ton in the early 2000's along with Spike's page for costume reference and DITL for ship information. Fun times.
Spike's page was great, his rank and department color information for the TOS movies based on Robert Fletcher's notes really cleared up a lot of incorrect info that had popped up over the years in various books and magazines. Phasers.net is also still around, though its last update was when the 2009 Star Trek came out.
That was a great site back in the day, that and the neutral zone starships database. Simple, easy to follow layout, large amount of starship picture goodness. A lot of websites like this are gone. But they were different times I guess. I see the last update for Pedro's Shiporama was in 2009 but I had probably stopped going there before that due to few updates.

Oh, nevermind, they're all back now. Honest to god, half an hour ago all those graphics were missing.
The trick about the Wayback Machine is that many times there are multiple captures of pages, some more complete than others. You can page back and for through them with the timeline bar at the top.
