It bothered me the first few times but then I got use to it as one of The Thirteenth Doctor's quirks. Every Doctor has several and not everyone is going to love them all. No big deal to me.
Kind of an "Unbound" Series 2 -You know, re: Donna - BF should finally do some What-If audios, and actually have different Doctor-companion combos. Like, Eight-Donna or First-Sarah Jane, or Fourth and Bill. Something like that.

Would have been very interesting. As much as Tom is my Doctor, I wish there had been some tape showing Bernard doing a rehearsal or reading for the part (like the Bojold as Janeway material). But I doubt the Beeb would have used any of their uber-magical tape for that![]()
In the audio commentary for "Genesis of the Daleks" provided by Tom Baker and Liz Sladen, Tom openly lamented the departure of Marter as he thought their 'trio" had the best chemistry during his years on the show.
"HARRY SULLIVAN IS AN IMBECILE!"![]()
Interesting regarding the chemistry matter. Putting aside the endless behind the scenes stories over the decades , I guess Tom did not necessarily like the working relationship with everyone else from Louise Jameson-forward (skipping over Lalla Ward for obvious reasons) until his own departure from the series?
Yes, Tom and Ian were friends and were even working on a Doctor Who screenplay (I think) when Ian died. But, accounts suggest Tom and Ian were friends off set, with Tom tagging along with Ian and his family on holiday. Sorry, I don't have the sources to back that claim, so, make of that what you will.

Never thought "Allons-y" was all that great.Yeah, I was never too keen on Matt Smith's "Geronimo!"
Yes, it was, which Tom recently completed in novel form with the aid of James Goss. A great, fun read!Right, the "Scratchman" project! Uh, it was the "Scratchman" project, wasn't it?
Fantastic!Hey fam how you doing?

Now if you excuse me, I have to Geronimo!

^ This. The moment Ryan called the police ‘feds’ in episode one, I knew we were going to have lots of ‘talk like the youf’ drama, and that historically has never done well in Who. (Apart from Rose)
Fam is pretty terrible in that regard, partially because they use it wrong (like Brigadier Bambera and shame) and partly because the people using it most are just too old to use it at all. Could have got away with it once (like sylvesters single use of Wicked with Ace) but it became a de-facto ‘repeated meme’ and was awful.
