TMP Enterprise blueprint Error!?

Do you all know that there is an error on TMP Blueprints, those that list the specifications for the Enterprise?
Movie dialouge about the crew complement doesn't fit what's listed on the blueprints.

The blueprints have lots of errors. They point to a docking port of the cargo deck and label it "engineering". Besides, where in TMP is the crew complement stated?

That scene on the bridge near the end of the Special Longer Version where the camera drifts from station to station, right before the cut to Spock shedding his tear for V'ger. During that shot can be heard a voice reading out a crew status report (on duty, off duty and in sickbay).

I don't see it as an error, just a difference. Remember, in TMP the ship was launched in haste for an emergency mission. So it didn't necessarily have its full complement onboard. So the 431-member crew established in the film may have increased to 500 once the ship got fully staffed. (This is what I assumed in my TMP sequel novel Ex Machina.)

...Indeed, Kirk's ship in TOS had never showed signs of operating at the limits of her berthing capacity, or at the limits of personnel required to keep her flying. Most of the people we met who weren't part of Kirk's bridge crew, Tomlinson's gunners or Scotty's coal-shovelers could be viewed as passengers: scientists performing research onboard, specialists in obscure fields who might see action perhaps once or twice during the entire mission, ground / corridor combat forces whose numbers might vary considerably depending on which sort of enemy the ship was sent to face.

For all we know, the ship's crew roster would look completely different from month to month, except when performing a multi-year mission far away from support assets.

Also, we really have to disagree with Probert on where exactly the Main Engineering set is situated within that hull. After all, the set designers did, creating that long corridor leading forward from the doors of that set.

A location quite a bit aft of Probert's intended one would seem to be in order, and moving it down one deck wouldn't hurt, either.

I'd rather discount that corridor mat painting in favor of ME being where it's supposed to be.

Wasn't it in TOS episode "Charlie X" that Kirk told Charlie 430 people were onboard the Enterprise?

Decker:
"This is an almost totally new Enterprise."

Why should we expect the crew to remain at the TOS figure? It could get bigger, smaller, or stay the same.
