Hey, I'm the guy who ranks TFF above TUC and TVH. I also think NEM is nearly the best TNG movie, just below FC. I'd rank DSC a close 3rd in terms of my favorite series in the franchise, which is also a fairly unique stance.
I also really like Alien3 in the Alien franchise, and I tend to think Last Crusade is a slightly better Indy film than Raiders.
So yeah.......I'm used to my ranking lists being debated and challenged haha. It's all part of the fun. If you're gonna "put it out there," you've gotta have a thick skin and enjoy getting poked a little.
I agree with some of your controversial stances, but not that all of TOS is 25% better. I really wasn't trying to come off like an a-hole earlier, it just seemed like we were going to be pretty far apart, and little to say but,"Acknowledged, Mr.DeSalle." If you actually watch my videos, you can tell I don't take this all that seriously, and take pot shots at all Trek here.
That's how I see TNG - even the worst episodes have nice designs to look at or a nice soundtrack, or nice effects...
That's because it is.
I'm not saying you can't disagree. If you read my last, I've disagreed about a few things myself (such as that dreck like Threshold makes Shades of Gray look like quality entertainment). But try to be nice about it. A list like this is meant to provide new insights, bring back memories, and maybe even urge us to give the occasional episode a second look. I thought Shades of Gray was Ok (for what it was) before I started perusing this topic. I didn't magically start hating it when it came in at #755.
Sure, it's all in what you value. I'd rather have fun with dynamic characters and stories...whereas to me the designs and fx are completely ancillary.
The characters and storytelling style of TOS is, for me, far superior to TNG. That allows me to enjoy and find value in even the worst episodes. When I watch TNG and VOY, for example, I'm harsher, because I don't find those characters as fun, nor do I find the storytelling style to be as dynamic or interesting. And, I'm a guy who would rather be irritated by a bad story than simply bored to tears.
That's why I said to @BoTWoT that I find the worst TOS episodes (Mudd's Women, ATCSL, Plato's Stepchildren, Alternative Factor) to still be more enjoyable than 25% of TNG. Yes, 75% of TNG is absolutely better than TOS's duds, but TNG's bottom 25% just doesn't compare for me, because I typically tank TNG episodes for being dreadfully unengaging and dull, not just because they are simply crappy stories. Masks is kind of crappy, but I like it because it's just a hoot. Other TNG episodes are probably less idiotic, but they are just horrifically, unforgivably dull (Imaginary Friend, Aquiel, Eye of the Beholder, Suspicions, Angel One, etc). I can't tolerate "dull" in Star Trek. It's why TFF is 10x the movie that INS is, in my mind. INS is a tepid piece of driftwood that does absolutely nothing interesting or exciting whatsoever. At least TFF has heart and a dynamic style.
Again...it's all based on individual tastes.

I think TFF is a lot of fun. There are plenty of scenes that are worth watching and that makes for good entertainment: Kirk falling, Spock and his flying boots, the singalong... I even liked Uhura's dance.

What I think I should say the worst season of Star Trek is and what I actually believe the worst season of Star Trek to be are two different things. I think the lowest-quality belongs to TNG Season 1, but ENT Season 2 was so dull overall that it makes for a really boring viewing experience that almost put me to sleep a few times. TNG Season 1 could at least be funny-bad, TOS rip-off bad, and too '80s bad. Those I can work with. So yeah, despite the fact that I technically rate TNG S1 lower, I think ENT S2 is the worst season in all of Star Trek. Raw Numbers don't always tell the whole story.
What I think I should say the worst season of Star Trek is and what I actually believe the worst season of Star Trek to be are two different things. Best and worst seasons is something I want to average the data and release videos about after the entire list has been laid out. S1 TNG and S3 TOS are hard to beat as far as worthless Trek!TOS: 30 great ones, 40 good ones, 10 bad-to-mediocre ones. I love Conspiracy. It probably would have been better as a 2-parter. I'll never forget when it first ran in the spring of 1988 (I was in 7th grade), as soon as the credits rolled, one of my buddies from school called my house. I answered the phone, "Hello?" and all I heard on the other line was:
"OMG THAT WAS F-ING AWESOME!!! HOW F-ING COOL WAS THAT!?!?! THEY BLEW THAT GUY'S F-ING HEAD OFF AND HE HAD A BIG F-ING THING LIVING IN HIM!!!"

I saw in when I was about 7 years old and I feel the same way about it today as I did then...why would you waste my time on this awesome mystery, for THIS hokey AF ending Star Trek... but to each their own.
Here's a completely subjective attempt to rank each season of Trek. I won't bother with tie-breaks, just rank each from 1-10. Including Lower Decks, but not TAS, because I find it impossible to rate (and I have a hard time calling the second block of 6 episodes a "season.")
