That was surprisingly satisfying episode. I have been really down on this show lately. Yet I had a big grin numerous times.

The writers finally remembered this series great strength - the cast and the relationships between the characters. Too much lately the characters are just being dragged along by the plots. There are very little mentions of their lives outside fighting villains. Or even that they are friends and family.

I will miss Cisco but Carlos Valdes revealed that he had already considered leaving back in season 4. When the actors are not engaged with the material it shows on screen as much as they try to sell it. The emotions in that final party scene was fantastic. They need to work more of that in once and a while. They got to find time between whatever the current plot lines are.

A decent, lightweight character-driven episode after the big arc climax last time. But speaking of lightweight things, why the hell was the blimp using hydrogen instead of helium? Come on, that went out with the Hindenburg. Even before then, really -- the ony reason the Hindenburg was hydrogen-filled was because the US refused to sell helium to Nazi Germany for fear that they'd use it in military airships.

Still, there was some excellent drone camera work over the stadium in the climax. It's ironic to see them using the BC Place Stadium as an actual stadium, when they usually use it as the ground-level exterior (and sometimes interior) for STAR Labs.

Cisco taking a job at ARGUS opens the door for him to return periodically or guest star on other shows -- basically take over the role that Lyla occasionally played in The Flash.

At least Cisco got a proper send off unlike poor Ralph

You know, there were gold bars in her care package there, if one of those hit someone from that altitude, that probably would have killed them, or seriously injured lol

Great send off for Cisco. Nice balance of fun, character moments and emotion. I definitely shed a tear at the end with the flashback of Cisco throughout the series as Cisco looked at the old Flash uniform and left the room. The scene with the women hanging out and the guys hanging out and Barry and Cisco singing "poker face", had a really nice sense of camaraderie. You felt like these characters are long time friends.

Yeah this was a really nice send off for Cisco.
One thing that stood out to me in the articles about him leaving, is that they all said he was just no longer going to be a regular. So it sounds like there's at least a chance this isn't the last we'll see of him.

What about the break dancing? Make anyone go and see if they could bust a few of Barry's moves?

Yeah: her heart may have been in the right place, but she was a really dumb Robin Hood.

Tom Cavanagh will be back as well. So it seems less like they've left and more like they've transitioned to Special Guest Star status.

Not an uncommon fate for departed Arrowverse stars.

    Just terrible.

    The show is wrong.

I want to slap them all, all the time.

    I was thinking about Hartley.

Extracting him, left a hole in this season.

    A damaging hole.

Would it be so bad to bring him back?

If we are talking about bad jokes rather than a disgusting belief system.

    They might turn it around.

    It could stop sucking.

I rewatched the whole thing recently, and seasons 1 through 6 were all solid.

Supergirl is worse than the Flash, but the end is in sight.

On the show where Killer Frost became a member of the family after repeatedly trying to murder Cisco, we must hold some one accountable for old cringey Twitter jokes.

Fictional transgressions and real-life ones are hardly comparable. And need I mention that they just did an arc where Frost took responsibility for her past misdeeds and accepted punishment?
