Vice Admiral
First up, the Mustang-class interceptor. Small, short duration starships tasked with interdiction and patrol/system defense duty. Crew of about 20. It's most notable feature is the abandonment of the traditional bridge placement atop the saucer section for a position at the leading edge of the saucer slope. This change permits the main power feeds for the weapons systems to be bundled into a set of feeds leading directly from the warp reactor forward to the saucer center before branching up and down to power banks for the torpedo and beam weapons, keeping the feeds deep within the protective confines of the hull. The close-in placement of the warp nacelles likewise allows for a compacted power feed system less vulnerable to damage. The relatively low-yeild warp coils in these nacelles (maximum speeds Warp 4/5/6) produce relatively little radiation hazard, diminished further by extra baffle plating inside the nacelle housing.
Next is a ship I'm just not sure what to call. My working designation is a "deep space surveyor". I suppose she could also be a heavy scout or pocket destroyer.
