I love Beebo, so I'm really looking forward to the special. And not only does it have Victor Garber narrating it, but it's also got Ernie Hudson as Santa.

For some reason CTV Sci-Fi isn't airing tonight's episode. They're just doing a Marathon of natural disaster movies.
I have to watch it on PIX11

There is a baseball game estimated to end an hour before the episode airs on PIX11, maybe CTV is just preempting it just incase the game runs long.

For those of us in the US who are getting it, tonight's episode is the Astra-centric, partially animated episode directed by Caity Lotz.

So basically they went back and filled in what Astra's been doing since the start of the season, which I guess accounts for her absence. With glimpses of the Legends' various adventures and wardrobe changes to remind us where we were in the timeline.

Has Astra ever met Spooner before now? There didn't seem to be any unfamiliarity or introductions there, though I guess Astra was pretty distracted.

The animated part was pretty well-done. I gather they brought in Disney animators for what was obviously a Beauty and the Beast riff (with a cameo by some Hunchback-ish gargoyles), but it had something of a Warner Bros. Animation look to it as well, since naturally they were the ones producing it. It was a good blend of the two styles. I'm glad that WB's live-action division has finally learned (with this and the Supernatural/Scooby-Doo crossover a while back) that when you do an animated episode, you go to the real animators to get it right (unlike the animated episode of Warner Bros.' Fringe where they used hideous cel-shaded CGI rather than using WB's very own 2D animation studio).

So Matt Lucas is Aleister Crowley, huh? I expect we'll be seeing him again later in the season, since they probably wouldn't have bothered to use Lucas's likeness for the Crowley painting if it were purely a voice role. Although the painting seemed to be based on this 1912 photograph which they probably grabbed off Wikipedia the same way I just did. Maybe I should say they wouldn't have bothered to cast an actor who resembled Crowley if it were just a voice role. So either Crowley will get his body back somehow or they'll go back in time to before Constantine trapped him.

And meanwhile Sara meets the big bad Bishop, and turns out he's the creator of the AVA clones from 2213. I don't remember, was humanity destroyed in that future? Also, it looked like we saw an image of Kayla and Gary's species in his presentation about creating humans modified with alien DNA. Does that just mean that species is one of the sample he intends to use, or does he mean they're already alien-modified humans, which would mean Gary was human (more or less) after all?

Big takeaway: Somewhere out there is an alternate timeline in which there are 15 seasons of WYNONNA EARP! :)

Honestly, I loved all the Earper gags, up to and including a snatch of the theme music!

Which must've cost them, since it's not a Warner Bros. show.

The bit with Sara saying that it came together in the second season after deciding what it wanted to be was clearly a self-referential nod to what people say about Legends, but is it true of Wynonna Earp as well?

Not as dramatically as LEGENDS, that I recall.

It was probably in response to the Sara Lance reference in WE last year.

That's confusing, when two shows are fictional within each other's universes. Batman and The Green Hornet did that back in '66, at least until they retconned the Green Hornet and Kato as real in the Batman universe.

It was nice to get see what Astra's been up to this whole time, although it was a little sad to see things going so badly for her.
I didn't realize that was Matt Lucas as Crowley, although he did sound a bit familiar.
Loved the animation bits, and it looked like they actually went all in on decent animation. A lot of these shows seem to just go the cheap and quick route for that kind of thing.
Did not expect Bishop to be the creator of the Ava clones. And we got to find out what his big bad guy plot is. So I'm guessing now that he knows Sara dropped them into the time stream, we're going to get him and the rest of the Legends racing each other to all of the different aliens.

Except he doesn't need to, since he took DNA samples from them all. He said he preferred live aliens but could do the work just fine without them.

Well. I did not see that twist coming, even though I should have. They certainly planted all the seeds for us.

But hey, resurrection is old hat for Sara Lance. This is just the latest variation. And hey, she and Ava have something else in common now!

So that was the real Amelia Earhart -- but it seems unlikely that there's anything left of her to recover now. That's grim.

Hey. You'll hurt Red Tornado's feelings.

Though what if, he made a clone of her, and infected that clone just as a psychological attack.

Kind of hoping they get the rights to play "I Think I'm a Clone Now" by the end of the season.

I actually had the same thought when he showed her the dead Sara.
I was a little surprised they got the Waverider back already, I assumed we'd get at least a few more episodes with them in John's house before they got it back.
