Picture the Novelverse - Characters, Ships and More !

The design for that Losing the Peace cover is really nice, but the execution could have been better. The Photoshopping job on Picard, Choudhury, and Worf is pretty rough.

That’s kind of appropriate. The original cover was weird, too. Had the crashed wreck of the Enterprise in the background.

At least the German edition got a decent cover.
For some reason I keep thinking Choudhury was Indian, so I it always surprises me when I see her looking the way she does on the German and Czech covers.

I guess she looked more East Asian on the covers to me.
What countries do you think of when you think East Asian? The use of Asian in America is different that what I grew up with in the UK so I don't completely understand the definitions.

The woman on the cover has the face of an Indian woman, but her skin colour does look oddly pale yellow which might be throwing you off.

Has the Czech cover of Losing the Peace been posted here below? It's older, so I'd guess yes, but I don't remember it: https://www.laser-books.cz/p/william-leisner-mir-prohrava/

It features Choudhury.
Needs some colour filtering on the characters, they don't match the background and look photoshopped.
(Also the Czech cover for Destiny book I uses an image of what I think is mirror Ezri but is otherwise the same! https://www.laser-books.cz/p/david-mack-volani-osudu-kniha-i-bohove-noci/)
Why's Ezri so mad?

China, Japan, Korea, ect.

The SS Shark from Diane Carey's "Best Destiny"; suggested to post here as I'm like you guys... I get vivid imagery of the scenes and characters and try to translate them.

They may have been like the Cardi’ weapon ship Torres took down

love that art, Carey’s Dreadnought next?

I never quite saw the logic of what appear to be seaborne subs against a cube...

Well, the whole point of BOBW was that a Borg cube was an unprecedented, black-swan threat that the Federation had no defense against at the time. One presumes that the Mars Defense Perimeter ships, regardless of what they were kitbashed from, would have been effective against more normal threats.

It's like in Doctor Who when UNIT soldiers go up against invading Daleks or Cybermen. They know their bullets are useless, but they shoot anyway, because it's their job and it's all they've got.
