They referred to their contact with male pronounts. I don't think it's Ahsoka. I think it's Bail.

Not bad.. Though the bow us kinda useless.. Just give her a blaster..
But then you'd have a young girl with a gun.. Not that kosher lately ..
    Looking forward to next episode.

I think I have come to take the canonical supplemental material, such as novels and comics, as historical accounts of events rather than the actual events, which we see on screen. That way you can write off the inconsistencies concerning Cobb Vanth, Caleb Dume and others as being simply details that the chronicler missed or got wrong.

Bail works as well. I’m going to stick with Maul manipulating them

Shouldn't the kid have some armor or at least a helmet?

Ah, fair enough. I missed that bit. Then, yeah, it's probably Bail.

Yeah, that's kind of how I've viewed Star Trek novels and Big Finish's Doctor Who audio plays (although the easier explanation for the latter are alternate universes, an idea the audios have played around with). Obviously, at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter, but for my own head canon, I just sort of squint the events into place and not sweat the details.

Yeaaaah....granted she's a smaller target but because she's so young and small, she's more vulnerable. I don't expect a Disney show to go that route, but it seems like it'll take Omega getting critically injured for the Bad Batch to realize "Oh, hey, maybe she should have her own armor and helmet."

You have to earn the armour and helmet

Wrecker's inhibitor chip is slowly coming awake. It's like each bump on the head he takes makes it stronger. I'm really curious how long they are going to pull on that thread before they address it head on. Particularly because I feel like the chips are the ideal plot element for Rex's reappearance, and I'm more excited for that than just about anything at this point.

This was my first thought as well. He's an early backer of the Rebellion, would have an interest in clones who would fight the Empire, and the bit of outfit we saw on the hologram looked like the kind of elaborate, sash completed garment we've typically seen him wearing.

It IS curious that the show didn't just reveal him at that point if it was Bail, however. So I suppose there is still room for a swerve in there somewhere. But maybe they just want to build tension.

It's the only way to determine whether or not she actually needs it! She'd look a bit silly if she went to the trouble of getting armored up and then never got shot. ;)

I wonder what the point of the bow is supposed to be. Why does it need muscular power? It's not as if this would somehow take the place of some exhaustible resource: basic blasters already have unlimited ammo and don't even require pump action to chamber the shot or anything.

(Perhaps the bow is more "inert" when not under tension than a blaster would be, and doesn't show up in scanners?)

As regards kosher, she's now toting the characteristic hardware of sadistic slavers. Makes her badass, I presume, but in today's terms she's basically toting a sawed-off shotgun or a chainsaw when she could pack a cute little .22.

Hey, give that back, it's my line for the prequels!

The placement of the novel can be anywhere, so sure, you can change it, but I'm not sure how you'd fit the events of the book with the short timeframe the show has had thus far. Good thing
the novel itself didn't seem to fit within its own timeline, because there was not enough time for Ahsoka to run enough personal errands to get Bail's attention, in the short time it took for the Sixth Brother to move his ass from Thabeska to Raada. So that compressing the time of things alone may be enough to say,
All right, that all just happened while the Bad Batch were figuring out where to go.

Especially if we assume more time took here than it seems. For all we know, we could be closing on half a year. They could have been on Kamino for a month, and that's excluding their excursion to Onderon, they could have spent a month with Cut's family, a month running around to get low on fuel and everything and crashing on moons, a month of repairs, and a month since with Cid before she gives them another risky mission.

There is so much going on during the action scenes, they are really well done. I hope future Star Wars movies could be a little more like this. Story wise I'm not so gripped by the Bad Batch. I hope it will evolve past the mission of the week type of episodes.

I hope the mystery contact is Jar Jar Binks in his 'Bombad Jedi' persona.

Unless they're incorporating material from Legends continuity that his role in the Empire's birth taught him to shut up.

Well, he was pretty subdued in AotC. And his Bombad Jedi act only got loud when it involved screaming and running for dear life. Nothing really new there, then. But new enough to be entertaining...
