Janeway and the Romulan/Synthetic Crises? (Was she in the room?)

What do you think Janeway was up to during that whole Romulan supernova and Synthetic attack on Mars? And what stance do you think that she took to the issues?

Because given the time those events happened, very likely Janeway was still an Admiral. And one of Starfleet's TOP Admirals. So likely she was in the room when Picard resigned.

She may have had a hand in that resignation.

I would like to think that, if she was there - or indeed, where ever she was at the time - that she would have taken Picard's side against Starfleet's tacit genocide by inaction if the Romulan and Reman peoples.

And that she would have done everything possible, behind the scenes, to help out as best she could. Either trying to pull some strings to get Picard some ships even if they were civilian. Or trying to help Spock get the permissions he needed for him and the Vulcan Science Academy to work with the Romulans on the Jellyfish.

And because of her experience with the Doctor, who is basically a type synthetic humanoid lifeform, I would like to think that she would have opposed the synthetic ban.

But to be honest, I was never a huge Voyager fan*, so I don't know enough about Janeway's personality to know what side she would have taken regarding the Romulans and the Synthetics.

Maybe she felt that helping the Romulans was too risky, and that Synthetics were dangerous...?

*(Of course I was never a big fan of 7of9 back in her catsuit wearing Voyager days...but I actually really like the way she is portrayed in Picard.

I liked 7's ice-queen snark, but I disliked her outfit as well. It was a reversion to one of classic Trek and TNG's most repellent habits: encasing women in excessively revealing outfits. Kira and Janeway, my favorite Trek women, were sexy despite their standard uniforms.

I'd also be interested in the Doctor's reaction to what was going on. As an artificial lifeform, he would certainly have a take on what had happened.

Let's face it - Seven was added to the show for "T&A". Nothing more. Hence the outfit.

If she was, then she far exceeded the original expectations for her character. By the end of the series, she was so much more than eye candy. That's why we welcomed her return, even in a much less revealing outfit.

NEM suggests that Janeway would side with Picard. But, we don’t know how Janeway reacted to those events. As her reaction would likely be very different from Picard or others, due to the events of “Endgame”.

In “Endgame” neither Admiral Janeway, or anyone else, ever mention if the Romulan supernova happens. Or the synthetic attack. From the viewers perspective at the time of airing, such events are unfathomable. So, when Admiral Janeway decides to alter history to get the crew home faster, such consequences aren’t considered at all.

So, regardless if she was in the room or not, how much of those events occurring can be blamed on Admiral Janeway deciding to change the timeline?

This is one thing I'm dying to know. Where has Janeway been, while Seven and Jean-Luc's lives have fallen apart? Not that their lives are Janeway's responsibility, but you can't help but wonder where she fits into their new backstories.
