What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

Yeah, it is still terrible. I've thought about it, watched it, and then gone back and watched Terra Prime. One stands out in a positive way; one stands out because it is focused on completely different characters than the main ones.

Hide and Q: breaks the sound barrier of offensiveness.

I mean when Riker gives Gerdi LaForge his sight back. I mean after a few seconds the latter begs him to make him blind again... What???
Who the hell wrote this crap!!! Geordi's justification is "that the price is too high!" What price?

He'd have to thank the Q.

How about the little girl. I bet if Riker had given her her life back she would have begged Riker to leave her dead.

Picard giving him an "atta-boy" for not even trying is more irritating.

Yeah. To my mind he brought her back when he gave every one presents and just didn't mention it.

I've just re-watched TNG's "The Neutral Zone", there are a lot of stupid lines in that episode but the one IMO that really gets the cake is Beverly's "People were afraid of dying back then."

I was much more taken aback by Picards callus "Why did you rescue them?" attitude.

At least VOY's finale was executed with some creative effort.

It was??? The upteenth "future character destroys their timeline for our heroes" plot? Ugh.

"TATV...(ENT)" is a lot sloppier and worse. "Endgame" is no TNG or DS9 finale but at least it's watchable.

...

That's not really true. Q is not the one who gave him his sight back but even if it was, big deal!!!

Yeah, I'd rather be disabled for the rest of my life than say thanks to someone I don't like!!!

How much of an idiot does someone have to be.

I mean if I was disabled or I had cancer or something and all I would have to do to be cured is to kiss the boots of the person I most dislike in the world, I would do it without hesitation and/or shame.

Plus as I said the only person that he really could have rightfully thanked is Riker...

The thing is that nobody is that stupid. No one would look such a beautiful gift horse in the mouth only in the brain of a writer... A BAD writer!!!

It was at least about the characters from the title show.

Small victory.

Not an idiot, just some one with obviously different priorities than yours.

When faux Reed asks Archer if he would ask the Klingons if they had a cure for the disease, he made one of the uncharacteristically most sensible responses he ever gave for this kind of question: "On bended knee."

Only an imbecile of the highest degree would pass on a cure for such a disability for such an idiotic reason.

However, it wouldn't be a controversial opinion if everyone agreed with me, would it?
