Hopefully, the new title won't go to his head and he becomes all hat, no Nerf.
I take it you don't like Filoni much?"Universally beloved by fans."![]()
Mixed.I take it you don't like Filoni much?
I'm not sure how clear that is. He has sole created-by status for it.Also, it's pretty clear Resistance wasn't Filoni's baby.
Crystal clear. For example note the chronic lack of wolf imagery!I'm not sure how clear that is. He has sole created-by status for it.
I don't know, it tied in specifically with two movies which were released respectively three years and one year prior to its premiere. The fact they had no idea what was in store for the third movie shouldn't have been too much of a factor for planning the show out.Resistance had the problem of being a movie tie-in series for a set of films that didn't get planned out as well as they should have been. Making he cartoon's run difficult.
Starting so late in the run of the trilogy didn't exactly help matters either since the release of TRoS seemed like a pre-determined cut-off point.I don't know, it tied in specifically with two movies which were released respectively three years and one year prior to its premiere. I think it's the fact that it's not as good as the other animated shows were. Even at this early stage, The Bad Batch has already upstaged Resistance. It's not a bad show by any means, but it just lacked a certain...spark.
No question. Hell it's already at a place that it took Rebels a full season and change to get to; and I think the key reason is that 'The Bad Batch' is a show that people at LF actually *wanted* to make. It's not being driven by toy sales, or corporate mandates for product synergy, or because they needed something to quickly fill the void left by 'Rebels' (which I still feel like it was ended before they were quite done with it, but the advanced notice at least let them spend a whole season tying things off.)I think it's the fact that it's not as good as the other animated shows were. None of the above, they only planned to have 2 seasons according to interviews.Honestly I can't decide if they only got 2 seasons because Disney lost interest in ST era tie-in media (outside of the parks) once the movies were done, because the toy sales and/or ratings were sub-par, because there just wasn't enough enthusiasm for the project at LF, or some or all of the above.
I have my doubts about accuracy those statements. It feels a lot more like they planned for more but it got cut short early in season 2's production. If it was planned as just those two seasons then it was fairly poorly planned as the show very hurriedly wraps up a few character threads in the last few episodes and just *stops* with plenty left unresolved.None of the above, they only planned to have 2 seasons according to interviews.
Well they know better than you.I have my doubts about accuracy those statements.
