Yeah, same here @Joanna McCoy-Kirk. I wondered if I offended others at one point. I think we all seem well-meaning enough, and that comes across.

It’s nice when we have (some of us wildly) different opinions and are able to share them freely and just have that be that. As long as we’re polite and thoughtful about it so that others can follow our thinking and understand.

But, I mean we’re Trekkies. If a Klingon, a Ferengi, and a Vulcan walk into a bar, most of us want to sit with and talk with them. We’d want to get to know them better, even if we’d disagree about the virtues of slaying our enemies, the taste of Sluggo Cola, and the grooviness of the lute in contemporary music.

I don't think you said anything offensive at all, you just stated an opinion, one which isn't even that controversial. It was interesting to hear as well considering that Roddenberry was so anti religion yet it there are so many episodes that explore it.
