(I was really just going for the "mister" part with clue #1. The reason I specifically picked Mr. Big over other potential "Mr." clues, was that I was trying to also get the association with the chocolate bar tagline! )

Hmm, maybe it's not used any more? But the tagline for Mr. Big chocolate bars at least used to be "When you're this big, they call you Mister", so by using Mr. Big from the show, I thought maybe the chocolate bar would also be called to mind, and it was hopefully just a little nudge that "mister" was the correct answer to the image!

(I think I might have heard somewhere that Americans may be more likely to call them "candy bars", and "chocolate bars" are only for bars of pure chocolate, so if any confusion stemmed from that, my apologies! )

 

I'm sorry, I know this is a little off topic, but I just have to respond to this.

You have shattered my entire worldview!

Sure, I knew about Coffee Crisp and Crispy Crunch not being readily available south of the border; those are pretty famous examples. (Along with the fact that you apparently don't have All Dressed or Ketchup chips, for some reason.) And honestly, the Mr. Big thing surprises me... I just assumed that would be something that would have been available in both countries. Mea culpa, I guess.

But c'mon... you're telling me that mainstays like Aero and Caramilk are Canadian only?!? Aero is pretty ubiquitous. When we had trouble finding the mint Aeros, I just assumed it was because it was an *American* thing, and the variant versions only made their way here occasionally. And Caramilk... as in "the Caramilk secret" Caramilk... as in "how *do* they get the soft, golden caramel inside the Caramilk bar?" Caramilk?? I can barely comprehend that they aren't available in the States. Maybe their commercials were just *too* well done, and I assumed they therefore had to be American! But seriously, these are such "staple" chocolate bars that I thought they just *had* to be in both countries, like Oh Henry, Mars, Snickers, etc. The fact that they are apparently not, just blows my mind!

A lot of things are so similar between our two countries, that sometimes the actual differences just catch me totally off-guard! (I mean, I only found out within the last five years of my life that you apparently don't sell milk in bags! )

Well. I guess I haven't had a good chocolate-bar-themed rant in... ever? So there we go.

And no offense to the article's author, but her American friends were definitely right about one thing... Crunchie *is* terrible! It's very difficult for a chocolate bar to make me dislike it, but Crunchie manages to pull it off!

I guess I should pull myself back on topic:

Umm... is it Take Me Home Country Roads? I have no idea how the first picture fits, but the last two seem to fit, and the first could theoretically represent "take me home"... although it would probably be safer to do so *inside* the car!
