Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

Picard’s Android body isn’t my favorite plot twist but it’s no different plot wise than Spock’s fucking katra. Or Nomad reviving Scotty. Or magical augment blood. Or past Harry. Or past O’Brien. Or, I could go on...
Apparently the arbitrary line must be drawn here!

ETA: Also, Spock's katra is pretty much the one where I went "So, it's magic then? Got it." Magic blood, android transference ain't got nothing on that one.

Wasn't he from the future?

I can’t remember the DS9 episode, but the one where he kept going back in time to tell his past self something then ended up dying. I thought it was future Miles that died. I might be wrong. Been awhile. Regardless... same idea.

Oh, I wouldn't either. Q saving Picard? 100% acceptable. Picard being saved through an android body? 100% outrageous, egregious, a violation of all that TNG stands for!:wtf::shrug:

Q will tell Picard he never had to worry about dying, because after he goes he's going to be Q's live in pet in the continuum for all eternity.

Cut to Picard screaming.

Q would never do that because...

...because...

...because Q is awesome! Yeah, that's it! All hail Q. Star Trek is saved!

Saw last night. Future Miles came to present after Present Miles dies in the future.

Yeah, it's the same O'Brien as the one who dies, just temporally displaced and older by a few hours.

Likewise, the divergence time between the two Harry's (and baby Naomi, let's not forget!) is only a few hours as well.

Star Trek Online has a storyline involving the dead version of Harry. It has a very annoying platforming section.

Yeah, few people bother to remember that the Harry Kim that leaves the Alpha Quadrant in 2371 isn't the same one that returns to it in 2378. But, hey, Harry...so...

Possibly. Alternatively, it could be that this is the real Harry (and Naomi) who return, but the quantum duplicate Voyager and crew.

Thanks for posting the John Delancie interview. It's interesting he's filming his role right now and how he seems to be enjoying playing of Q again and what made him say yes to coming back again .And mentioning having the tv writers telling what his role would be in the series and why he said yes to play Q again.
