He looks a little different in the most recent Star Trek comic:

How I'm pondering who in the Star Trek universe is worthy enough to lift Mjolnir.

    Sisko. Sisko could lift Mjolnir.

    George Kirk, obviously. :D

Or perhaps Riker could, since in an alternate reality he was Captain America.

Data might be able to, if you go by the logic that the Vision was able to lift it because he's a synthezoid.

Wondering about what part the Q will play in this story and if what happens has something to do with the entities from "Q&A".

Which are even feared by them and who already almost erased reality in this novel.

It's the same Control. It was just going through a phase.

I mean, haven’t we all had that period where we turned into nanites, made meat puppets of our underlings, and tried to wipe out all organic life in the universe? It happens to all of us sometime.

Uraei (via encrypted binary/trinary computer language): "Jesus Christ, Control! WTF was that all about."

Control: "Yeah, sorry bro, it's been a real tough century. I'm probably going to try to sleep this one off a while."

Uraei: "Good call. In the meantime, I got rid of that spore ship, sent it off into the future or something. We'll deal with them then. You mind helping me nerf the galactic technology a bit?"

While it's horrifying to think of the past 20-ish years of hard-fought accomplishments, sacrifices, and character growth in the only continuity we had post-Nemesis just being Q-snapped away, it's consoling to at least HOPE that poor Julian gets a better shake on the next go 'round.

Oh, and if any character from the LV continuity should carry the memory of "What Was" forward, it should be Harry Kim.

It was going to end eventually anyway. What we're getting is one of the best possible scenarios we could get for such an ending.

It's better than what Star Wars got. They even had announced books that ended up never coming out once they decided to decanonize everything but the TV shows and movies.

The Star Wars novels were never canon, they just said that to suck up to the fanbase. But while SW was more likely to mine the novels and comics for stuff than other licenses, the books were always secondary, as a casual glance at the history of the Fett family will indicate. :)

So nothing was "decanonized," they just changed their novel line to bring it more in line with what they were doing on screen. Like, y'know, every tie-in license does if the thing it ties into does new material.

Yep. The only real difference between SW tie-ins and Trek tie-ins is that all the SW tie-ins were expected to be consistent with each other, to maintain a pseudo-"canon" among themselves. It never meant they were binding on the actual screen canon.
