Hey @137th Gebirg do you have a higher quality version of the side view of the Amari ship here?

I think that was a scan from one of the Yamato Fact Files. I’ll need to check my archives, but the quality will be limited to the print quality of the scan. Higher resolution will mean the CMYK dots will be more visible.

That's fine, I just need a big picture to scale down.

Is there any pic of the non-flagship variant with the gun?

And the front and rear profiles look like an Empire shuttle from Star Wars.

Not exactly related, but the voice actress for older Star Blazers dub character: "Nova" (Yuki), Amy Howard Wilson, died on February 28th at the age of 65.

That means she would have been in her early twenties when she voiced Nova. Such a mature voice for such a young age. Damn. What a shame.

That's terrible news. I'm sorry to hear that, and yes 65 is still way too young. RIP.

The real question for me is when are they going to get to the redo of the third series detailing the "Bolar Wars"?;)

We've seen sketches of Dark Nebula ships; so maybe a 'one-off' movie to fill in the gap between seasons?

The Dark Nebula ship sketches seem to be for Yamato 2205, which was announced to be in production, but its air date will likely be announced with this film comes out.

I am wondering if that is a concept of the Gorba coming out of warp, or if the Dark Nebula has some sort of cloaking devices?

Something occurred to me today; with Mamoru Kodai's death in 2199, there's no Sasha Kodai around to help when confronting the Dark Nebula. That's supposing that events will play out similarly to the ones portrayed in 'The New Voyage' and 'Be Forever Yamato'.

Well there was a visual suggestion that Starsha was pregnant when Yamato left. So Sasha is still possible, but she would be older that her OG form. At least age since birth, no telling how old she might appear.

However I can accept a species maturing three times as fast as a normal human more than I can her growing from baby to teenager in a year. If Mamoru is still the father, than Sasha would be born in late 2199 or early in 2200. So by 2205, she would be five years old, and appear fifteen.

However, if she is not around her roll could be taken by Yurisha instead, since she would be familiar with Yamato and its crew.
