The studio filming miniature had a smaller secondary hull with a main deflector that opened up wider vertically. Here is a good approximation.

Hopefully the fix the aft section from the regular sized model. I want it, but not if it's still f'ed up. I mean I understand why well never get one to match the studio physical model, so I am not worked up about windows,

Truly and utterly shocked by the relay station though. I mean seriously out of the list of stations I would like, I don't think that makes a top ten. Still very pleased its being made.

This is based off the CG model, not the physical model. The physical model had the pucker, while the CG model is mostly a Galaxy kitbash.

A very odd choice but I like it. But I'd like Probert and Drexler's Frontier -class station more!

The first people have received La Sirena today.
According to photos, the bottom appears plain black but I’ve read it does have detail when looking closely.

I’ve got the sub. Do I have to wait till April for Issue 2 USS Zheng He?

It's a shot of the Phoenix next to the Enterprise-D.

I’m looking forward to the Discovery-A!

:) in fact, the Voyager-J is also appealing right now, and also the inquiry-Class vessel also...

I've been looking around for the Karemma ship, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It's sold out on the Canadian Eaglemoss site and there don't seem to be any on eBay. I tried looking up "Karemma" and it just shows a bunch of Micro Machine version (which I already have) and I tried looking up the issue number (#165), but it just gives a bunch of copes of the OV-165 (that futuristic space shuttle from the "Enterprise" opening).

Neither the Karemma, Excelsior Prototype III, nor Melbourne have been in stock for more than a year. In fact, it seems the only Melbournes anyone has for sale are Japanese. The other two are even rarer. (I preordered all three through my local retailer, he never received any.)

I joke when I say the ship carrying them must have sunk, but I really would like to know the true story behind this bizarre shortage. Corona doesn’t explain it all.

The Bonaventure is one I missed that they never have in stock.

They need an XL of the STO Horatio—an Ambassador sun-class

If they ever did a STO XL, I presume it would only be a version of the Enterprise-F.

    Never say never, though.

Finally! I'm more interested in these classic designs that were re-used a lot (Miranda, Excelsior, Nebula...) than in "hero ships".

Indeed. The hero ships have been done, redone, redone again and picked over to death. I prefer to see more of the lesser-known ships, which is why I think the overall line has been so successful.

Yay! I like that one as it evokes the Liberator from Blake's 7.
