Fantastic! I'm glad we're getting both versions of the Inquiry.

Guess what showed up at my door step today. I thought I would never receive this. The Space Dock! It is only a few years late.

 They did that to me too with the SD two years ago! I eventually got tired of waiting and bought one on eBay and then about a month later the original one I was expecting finally arrived from EM and I had to flip it back on eBay. Ever since then, I've just waited for them to backfill what's missing (there's still a lot), as they do seem to be keeping track of the holes, albeit at a glacial pace.

Interestingly, I just received a second ISS Charon Special and a second NuBSG Cylon Centurion statuette, and I already got my first ones of both of those last year. That has never happened before until recently, and now twice! Very weird.

Romulan vessels are known for their stupid-large wingspans, relative to their smaller main fuselage. That would give the impression of a smaller box-scale model compared to other releases in the past.

    Note from the competition:
The Janerway class is now available in STO and can be uploaded to GamePrint. Question is now, who can bring out the first physical Intrepid class (32ct) model...

Perhaps I'm an old stick in the mud, but I feel like my time collecting ships is coming to an end. There's still a few from the original set I intend to get, but most of the ones I don't have are ones I'm not that excited to get.

And while I'm not going to dump on newer Trek here, I don't really follow any of the new shows, nor do I play STO, so ships from any of those don't really interest me. I also don't really have the budget or room for the XL ships, as nice-looking as they are.

It's a shame, cause I can still think of a few Berman-era ships that have yet to be made, that I'd happily pay for. (Degra's ship, Ferengi shuttle, Bajoran scout, Cardassian "Dreadnought" missile, "Think Tank" ship, Yridian ship, and the IKS Gr'oth)

My only hope (Are you listening, Ben?) is that a couple of these will be released among the standard-sized special editions that we get periodically.

But if all I can do is pick from what's been announced so far, I can still enjoy what I have. :)

I’m sure they’ll be making them, with the new all-encompassing “Star Trek Universe” line covering everything new now. I hope to see them as well. They look really good, especially the Parliament.

I’m kinda in the same boat. I still want to get the regular sized Enterprise B, C and J (the only Enterprises I don’t have) and the Cerritos if/when they make it. But beyond that, I can’t see anything else that would peak my interest.

I still enjoy holding a ship in my hand and examining the design from every angle, some ships really look better the more you look at them.

Sadly, some of the 'ships of the week' look OK flying around on screen but actually look awkward and simplistic when you get a chance to really look at them.

Consider yourself lucky. The various Enterprises became a lot easier to find, since they started re-releasing them under the "Best of..." series. I had to shell out quite a bit on eBay for the "B" and got the "C" and "E" in a 3-pack that left me with an extra "D". (I always tell people to check with nearby comic/collectible stores first. Support a local business, if you can. Sometimes, they can even order stuff for you).

Yeah, well most of the kitbashes from "Best of Both Worlds" and season 6 of DS9 were clearly never meant for close up scrutiny. If you go back and watch "A Time to Stand", notice that, even with the Centaur, the camera never really lingers on it too much.

Has anybody ever received the Worker Bee from the Discovery collection? That is the only one that I have not received yet.

Nope! That was a weird one - IIRC, it started off its life as a ComicCon exclusive (I think that was it - Vegas or NYC maybe?), akin to the USS Glenn SDCC exclusive and then, somewhere along the line it got added into the main line of DSC ships after-the-fact, but not released at the time. I have a subscription for that line and that one is my earliest hole, followed by the Zimmerman and a couple of the newer ones.

I still have 2-year old holes from the original Official Starships subscription line that I've been waiting on. The whole COVID mess really broke everything.

Yes, I’ve received it. My missing ships from the Discovery line are #18 the Klingon Raider, #33 Chargh and the two newer specials Starbase 1 and Section 31 HQ. From the original collection 148-Jem’Hadar Battleship, 149-Krenim Warship, 158-Excelsior Concept I, 161-Void Ship, 173-Arcos, 178-Husnock Warship and 179-Viidian Starship.

Despite all that.... I saw the ST Universe subscription was available in the US for signups today and still subscribe. I think I must just like tormenting myself....

    News from TrekCore: https://blog.trekcore.com/2021/03/first-look-hero-collector-star-trek-models-june-2021

The article includes the recently published images of upcoming PIC ships.
New images are of STO issue 15, the Odyssey-class (Yorktown-refit) Enterprise-F.

BRAND NEW is the upcoming Bonus Edition Relay Station 47, and the XL edition Nebula-class USS Bonchune (based on the Nebula CGI, not the Sutherland/physical model).

My initial reaction to all of this is:

Edit: It appears the Star Trek Universe "Welcome Package" (La Sirena, 2 badges) will be delivered on Monday here in the UK. The Mat'ha, Chargh, and even the Zheng He are Add to Basket.

The Nebula is the XL I’ve been wanting since they started doing them.

That XL Nebula is a pretty model. The inside Aztecking on the top of the saucer, inside the phaser ring, seems a bit off. I’m hoping that’s an error on the prototype and the production versions are a little more well-aligned.

Now, I seem to remember the deflector opening on one of the Nebulas had something of a “pucker” to it instead of a simple ellipse...
