Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

Pity the game is so ordinary and pay to win.
I'm not a gamer but this is a game I tried out and even dropped a few $ on, and it was enjoyable but ultimately not worth it, for the reason you state.

Their commercials are great and this was surely the best of the bunch.

However annoying the game might be, it's popular, having been in the top 10, and at last count over a year ago, a $110 million moneymaker with 5 million+ downloads.

That's true but even STO has gone a bit that way and I haven't touched it in over a year, coming back for a tiny bit during the pandemic here last year but then dropped out again.

So some pics floating around facebook of the Disco season 4 trailers have one for "President Rillak" (as well as a return of the Ni'Var President T'Rina), so perhaps we get to meet our UFP president after all.

Say anything you want. Can be totally random.

I checked few threads here and tried not to say anything but I feel like I must.
The first two seasons had their moments but as a whole, not my thing. First two episodes were interesting and got me watching, but.... it went down the drain, especially when the mirror universe came along.
So, I was hoping after this huge change in the series when a new season begins, maybe it'll get better. A reboot in a way? No, I watched the first episode, it was hideous. Watched little bit of the second episode.... No, just no. Worst Star Trek ever. Actually, it doesn't even feel like Star Trek, more Star Wars. And I don't like Star Wars. Maybe it's wrong to say worst Star Trek ever because this series doesn't feel like Star Trek. At all.

Just watched Unification III for the first time and then the one that follows it (Book and his brother) and both I felt were decent episodes of Star Trek. I think knowing a bit more about the production side of things now, I'd really like to go back to Season 1/2 and 3 and do a long rewatch as it's crazy how much this show has changed over three seasons.

I don't know if anyone else gets this, but I do feel a very odd little thrill when Discovery arrives wherever it's arriving and it's nacelles just casually detach. The 32nd century is hella cool.

And just watched Terra Firma which I thought was really nice. Probably one of the best Mirror stories and a real study of how much the Emperor has been changed by the bonds and experiences she made on Discovery. I love that we got the donut. I didn't think we would. Onwards through the Season. I already know the major spoilers, but the journey is my favourite part anyway.

That's because when it arrives hope arrives, and shit will happen, and Burnham will cry lots.

#TimeTravel - I'm currently revisiting S1 and, gah, I forgot how much I disliked Stamets back then. But it reminded me how much Torres initially irritated me too way back in the early days of Voyager so I guess, were I Captain, my chief engineers would have have a higher degree of humility than those two

And 2021 heats up. Looking forward to it, especially with Nivar coming back (and possibly seeing the Federation president?) But, big downside; no Vance?
