I'm seeing a bunch of 1/2 hour videos on the official Power Rangers Youtube channel, so it loooks like they already have some full episodes up. Unless they're just compilations of clips or something like that.

Oddly they're uploading the 2010 MMPR reversion episodes which added unnecessary busy graphics added

Saber #22: A pretty effective episode, with major confrontations among the team, and Touma just being really fiercely passionate about saving people while the others are getting in his way, to the point that they finally start to realize maybe they shouldn't be getting in his way. I liked the little subplot of the competitive-eating twins and Touma convincing them of their worth as individuals, which proved key to saving them.

And the climactic battle took place on those iconic steps that have been in so many Sentai and Kamen Rider fight scenes, and there was such extensive coverage of the location that I finally figured out that those steps are at the Saitama Super Arena, whereas I'd somehow gotten the impression they were at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo. That's just a short distance from that pedestrian bridge location that I like so much, which has come up before in this thread, although it wasn't visible in this episode. (It's over the same railway tracks we could see paralleling the stairs here, but just off the northeast corner of the stadium while these steps are along its southeast face.)

It was interesting to see regular people just going about their day while some people on the steps with giant plastic swords were filming a scene

the Southern Knight will be played by Keisuke Souma, aka ShinkenGold.

They shoot so many fight scenes around that stadium, and particularly on those steps, that the locals are probably quite used to it.

In-universe, though, it's incongruous that the passersby aren't more alarmed about all the fighting and yelling and explosions.

So basically Garza is the master. Manipulated as child by the emperor/ 4 knocks. Not sure I like that Garza was actually manipulated/brainwashed via spell. Seems like a cop out to spare him.

Oladdin's got his body back only to be thrown to Jamenshi for food. He just cant catch a break

I'm surprised Takamchi doesn't get a bigger role since this is all revolving around his family.

With Jyuru being the chosen one to bring inspiration I now want to see him meet ToQ Ichigo. Their sparkle and inspiration would rival the sun.

With Jyuru supposedly dead it looks like things right now are pretty bleak for the Kiramagers

No mecha battle either. Saving that for this Sunday's episode judging by the preview

A pretty effective Kiramager this week. I liked the story of Garuza's redemption, though I wish his turn to evil hadn't been reduced to something as simplistic as a magic spell filling him with hate. I would've liked to see Yodom corrupt him more subtly, manipulate him with words and insinuations to make him jealous of Oladdin.

I like how Jyuuru is winning people over by bonding with his fellow artists -- first Kurantula, now Garuza. It was surprising to see Garuza's redemption arc cut short so abruptly by Yodom; I'd hoped to see the brothers reunited and standing together in the climax. Although I guess we'll see Garuza resurrected once the Kanaemastones are used to restore Crystalia, as will inevitably happen in the finale. Sentai and KR these days are fond of killing characters off in the last few episodes only to magically resurrect them at the end.

Nice interview with Mio Kudo who plays Sayo in Kiramager

    Her interview has been translated

Nice statement at the end btw

So it looks like after Kiramager she's going to do more modeling as opposed to acting for now

Two minute preview of Dino Fury's premiere tomorrow

The foot soldiers (Hengemen) being meant to protect the base and turned evil by Void Knight using their key is a cool new twist for Power Rangers.

    "Hengemen." Clever.

Looks promising, but of course, I won't be able to see it until Netflix picks it up, which will probably be sometime next year.

Hmm. I'm underwhelmed by the actors playing Zayto and Amelia. Particularly disappointing in the latter case, since Ichika Osaki (Ryusoul Pink) was a fantastic actress.

Amelia and Ollie seem to split the attributes of Ui -- she's a vlogger, he's the child of an archaeologist.

EDIT: Having seen the whole episode now, I'm a little more impressed by Zayto's performer. He's got a great, rich, commanding voice, and at first I thought his delivery was a little flat, but he's just playing it cool and stoic, which is effective.

So far, both Hasbro-produced series have begun with an entirely original episode. The only Sentai footage here was that brief shot of all the Zords standing behind the Rangers, which must've been from a later episode, since the Gold Ranger was there and they were wearing upgraded armor.

Void Knight seems to be a Boukenger fan, looking for "Precious".

I went onto YouTube TV today to see if Dino Fury's premiere was available on-demand, but ended up binging the last 5 episodes of Beast Morphers instead, and have to say that despite not having finished the first half of Season 2, I really liked the series as a whole based on Season 1 and the Season 2 episodes that I have seen, and now need to sit down and figure out exactly where it ranks overall.

I would've personally preferred a less purely episodic structure, but the series ultimately ends up as proof that Episodic TV can still work in this day and age when it's written well, which it on the whole was.

Zayto says the other original dino fury rangers were lost but I wonder if gold went into hiding. Perhaps he'll have adopted a stance on pacifisms and has been hiding under the sea.

It turns out that the Morphin Masters (or Morphing?) are a reallllllly deep continuity cut, to a group mentioned exactly once in the first season of MMPR, a new name slapped onto a group of ancients from Zyuranger stock footage: https://powerrangers.fandom.com/wiki/Morphing_Masters

But this makes the Rafkonite Dino Fury Rangers the oldest Power Ranger team in the franchise's history. The Zyurangers were far older, and I think the original Ryusoulgers were about this old (or at least the Kishiryu were), but it's a first for PR, aside from individuals like Auric the Conqueror, Sentinel Knight, and Keeper. It also pushes back the origin of the Morphin Grid much further. I'd always kind of assumed Zordon had a hand in its creation.

I know this is Ultraman Z but the same techniques apply for Sentai/Kamen Rider

Just a camera on a stick can create some dynamic scenes

    Kamen Rider Saber episode 23

Nice of Touma to notice that the Southern base looks like the Northern base without the TARDIS style console in the middle

Touma goes feral and gets the berserker form for this year. Compared to Hazard from Kamen Rider Build and Metal Cluster this form isn't a stone cold killing machine. There was nice detail with Primitive Dragon holding the saber by the blade.

The story is moving forward and we're seeing new things. As if to commemorate this new chapter in Saber, we see Yuuri added to the opening and ending

    Kiramager episode 44

Here we go. The penultimate episode before the finale

Kiramagers return: "I lost the boy..."

We start the episode with it raining and everyone in sadness. We even get an ominous credit.

Everyone thought Jyuruo was dead and his teammates continued fighting. The reunion and final morph scene was well done. Garuza also redeemed himself.

We also get a bit of breaking of the 4th wall with Hakataminami stating next episode is the final episode

Also Season 2 of Beast Morphers comes to Netflix on March 1st this year

I hadn't realized that berserker forms have become such a regular trope these past few years.

Wow, the Southern Base is huge. Does the Northern Base have all those ornate corridors and such behind those doors at the back of the set? How come they never go there?

Meanwhile, it was particularly obvious this week that Storius, Legiel, and Zoous are greenscreened into that room they always meet in. I've been wondering if that was some kind of COVID adjustment, but they do interact physically, so it's not like they're all being shot separately. It's weird how it sometimes looks like they're physically in the set and other times are clearly matted in.

Prediction: Master Logos is Tassel. Why hide his face unless he's a character we'd recognize? And they've been hinting for quite a while that Tassel has mysteries beneath his frivolous surface, and who's a better candidate for the storyteller than the master of the organization whose very name means "Story" or "Word"?

    Oh, good, finally.
