    I know

My point was since completely human-looking aliens outnumber even the ones that are merely humanoid (Trill, Cardassians, Klingons etc.) and are found in every corner of the galaxy, it should stand to reason that it's the "default" outcome of the "guided evolution" the Precursors created, so the Precursors should be human-looking ones (meaning no prosthetics) instead of rubber faces.

They did not consult me, continuing a 50+ year tradition of not consulting me.

Unless these precursors realized how ugly they were and decided to improve upon their looks. I'd be the last one to complain about it.:D

I mean it's too bad her hologram wasn't an interactive one...

Ancient lady: Greetings to all that are here...blah blah blah...

Klingon guy: What? I was expecting a weapon and all I got is this... stupid... postcard statement. If she weren't dead already I'd kill her myself.

AL: Who said that? Oh, it's you! You're from the contaminated specimen. Looks like I won my bet.

KG: What are you talking about?

Al: Well, just look at you? I bet you eat live worms... Look at these teeth... and the smell is unbeatable. To think we were this close to terminate that one. Well, to err is XXytillian...

And then she makes fun of the pointy ears of the Romulans.
And imagine what she'd have to say about the Kazon or Ferengi.

And then it turns out the only species that turned out the way she wanted are the Thalaxians.

"So colourful! So adorable! So enthusiastic about everything! Unlimited marketing appeal!"

Which of the three do you think are most numerous?

    1. Stars in the Milky Way galaxy?
    2. Human beings on the Earth?
    3. Janeway/Chakotay shipping videos on YouTube?

At the present time there are many times as many stars in the Miliky Way Galaxy as human beings on the Earth, and presumably many times as many humans as there are Voyager videos on YouTube.

According to this site the estimated world population of Earth is about 7,632,819,325, though I expect that people are being born and dying every second, so that the exact number changes every second.

    https://all-populations.com/en/population-of-earth.html

According to Wikipedia, there are an estiamted 100,000,000,000 to 400,000,000,000 stars in the Milky Way Galaxy.

I was being humorous, about the crapload of J/C shipping videos out there. But nonetheless, that's useful information, so thanks.

I think I could sail on basically any Voyager ship that's not Chakotay/Seven.

In a would-you-rather situation, absolutely. But of course it can't happen because my inner fujoshi is busy shipping the classics: Kim/Paris and Neelix/Tuvok.

I am sure there were lots of Janeway/Chakotay shipping fans. But it would be highly inappropriate for a captain and her first officer to be romantically involved. Janeway's supposed to be all "we will be a starfleet crew following starfleet standards of behavior..." Even if it does take the 87 years to get home, and another 87 years to fill out the reports Starfleet would ask for.

Since when have shippers bothered with anything like that?

That's part of the attraction. You only had to see "Resolutions" to know that there was very real chemistry between those two. But it wasn't possible, because of who and where they were. You only have to watch "Romeo and Juliet" or "Titanic" to know that there is something very appealing in a star-crossed romance.

Be that as it way, the videos cover a wide spectrum, from Bonnie Raitt's sassy "Something to Talk About" to the sorrow and regret of "Almost Lover".
