Kinda sorta French metal? Sirenia, a Norwegian metal band doing a cover of the French band Desireless' track Voyage Voyage. Sirenia's singer is French, so probably her idea to do this track.

Also the first Sirenia song in 20 years not to sound like a Sirenia song.

this is beautiful I love this song.

I love how it starts sombre and by the end it's joyful in a wipe away the tears and carpe diem kind of way. No-one else could do that not even Karen Carpenter. A few years ago I decided to mark my impending 40th with a recording session and I learnt Eva's versions of Time Is A Healer and People Get Ready along with a few other tracks but on the day I didn't get time to record either of them and never went back. Months and Months of practice singing in the car every day gone to waste. I have an excellent quality karaoke recording of Time Is A Healer from an extinct youtube channel. And People Get Ready and a few others.

Speaking of which I was listening to more of Eva

For me it was the first LC song I heard, Heaven's A Lie, in 2007 on Sirius Hard Attack. And it was 5 years old at that point. I heard my first Kamelot and Nightwish songs there as well.

Now, this guy......is friggin' eternal. Two tracks from his new album of covers.

A lot of older artists still kick arse.. :mallory::D

As for music.. I started out with Jean-Michel Jarre, that was the first person I had a musical click with, a lot of other electronic artists followed, mostly quite not mainstream, like Boards Of Canada, then Delerium came along, loved the ambient stuff and also the later music which had lovely vocals, that was when I started with some metal, and also AC/DC, because they're funny, and Rammstein, then back to electronic stuff, Faithless being a band I like a lot and so, a really good friend sent me a CD she'd made for me and that had Brian Eno tracks on it.
So then I discovered heavier stuff and rolled into metal, slowly going heavier.. and retrowave, and other strange music. :D
