Never seen the show, but heard about this woman's poisonous spew. Good riddance, indeed.https://io9.gizmodo.com/gina-carano-is-no-longer-a-part-of-star-wars-1846244896?rev=1613010609026
Gina Carano, who plays Cara Dune on The Mandalorian, will no longer be on the show.
In a statement obtained by io9, a Lucasfilm spokesperson said the following: “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
The news comes after a day in which the hashtag #FireGinaCarano trended on Twitter throughout the day. The night before, the actress shared an anti-Semitic story on her Instagram. It was soon deleted but many fans captured it and shared it on social media.
That, of course, came after months of complaints about Carano’s online presence, including covid denialism, the encouragement of sedition, and transphobia.
Carano’s character, Cara Dune, was one of the main characters on the award-winning Disney+ show. And it was assumed, though never confirmed, that she might play a role in the upcoming Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic show. That, apparently, is not happening anymore. Even if it was.
He didn't. That was Pablo Hidalgo and he mocked the Star Wars Theory guy who is part of the more toxic element of the fandom who harasses people, especially women. He had been harassing Hidalgo for months because we was an exec for Lucasfilm and associated with Kathleen Kennedy, who the more sexist element of the toxic fandom (also known as the fandumb) obsess over and fantasize about her getting fired any day now. He didn't get in any trouble for it either, that was just the fantasy of the fandumb. They can only exist in a delusional world now. That’s a shame. I liked her.
The chap who plays the lead also got into trouble recently making fun of people who cried in the final episode.
Wait, what? I don't care for the guy, or his irritating style of fanness, but I didn't know this.who harasses people, especially women.
Pablo was mocking someone who was mocking Star Wars Theory for crying over the Luke scene, but people keep seeing Pablo's the tweet out of context. He didn't. That was Pablo Hidalgo and he mocked the Star Wars Theory guy who is part of the more toxic element of the fandom who harasses people
Generation Tech is good too.Star Wars Explained for my Star Wars YouTube viewing. But Pablo Hidalgo isn't all that great, either.
He has a very weird relationship with the fans, to the point where he should probably just stay off Twitter completely.Pablo Hidalgo is an assclown of the first order(no pun intended). I've been hearing pretty terrible things about his behavior and if he's ever let go by Lucasfilm he won't be a loss to the franchise.
I found some screenshots, it didn't even seem that bad. The fandumb likes to blow things up and play the victim while constantly harassing the cast and behind the scenes people. They recently posted a lot of racist stuff about the woman who hosts a show about the High Republic on the Star Wars YouTube channel.Pablo was mocking someone who was mocking Star Wars Theory, but people keep seeing Pablo's the tweet out of context. It doesn't help the guy Pablo was responding to set their account to private so the context is completely gone.
Actually it really would be. He's the one who writes all of those Visual Dictionaries for the movies/shows. He's been an employee since the mid 90s, first working on the website during the Prequel Era.and if he's ever let go by Lucasfilm he won't be a loss to the franchise.
