You have a good point. I know one of the fan films James Crawley worked on had some pretty massive Starbase emblems, and he's well-known for his attention to detail. If I could get in touch with him about the subject sometime that might be helpful - but that's a pretty big If!

It's kind of a shame they didn't keep this weird floral-insignia thing going forward. It's a weird little piece of history.

I just would have assumed he mainly talks shop or business matters, but it can't hurt to shoot a message. I'll look him up, thanks for the advice.

I figured I'd give a quick update! I messaged Cawley last night and he got back to me this morning. He said he has one of Theiss' original insignias on display but that he'd have to measure it. Unfortunately he hasn't sent anything else yet, but I'm feeling pretty optimistic!
