Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Yeah, I've learned a great deal today. Geese are different from hummingbirds. To think there are actually living breathing people (you'd think this was done by a computer program or a character in a cartoon) who think they're doing something when they impart this kind of wisdom. What more do these pundits have to teach us, that water is wet?

Anyway, my point from the very beginning, which has been royally ignored by the think tank society is that when you meet a goose and especially if you're a kid, as I was the first time I got face to face with one of these birds (yeah, great surprise here, I was born in the countryside) you can't possibly confuse it with a duck, no way. First, a goose will look straight at you and start making noise and try to intimidate you... Yeah and also a goose is rather tall (when you're a kid definitely, I mean it's something like one meter, to a kid it's enormous!!!) and kinda vertical, while a duck is rather short (around fifty centimeters) and kinda horizontal... Anybody who's ever been face to face with these animals knows that.

But instead of getting the point that a poster is trying to make it's much funnier to mock him and call him a bunch of names... Or so it seems.

Anyway... moving on.

^ One of my favorite shows of all time. I just wish I could have visited the set (of the gas station/convenience store/diner where most of the action takes place) before they tore it down. :(

One of the things I love about the show is: no laugh track. God, I hate those.

(Except for Red Green of course. There, the studio audience is literally part of the show!)

yes (prime) minister, too - they used a live audience to ensure that nobody could say 'that isn't funny' and cancle it

Probably Red Green's best use of the audience is during the Experts bit.

Although the word game is also great.

never heard of thisone either

Totally random thought: was just thinking that "Dear Prudence" is a really great and masterfully put-together song, and doesn't get enough recognition in the Beatles' oeuvre.

The thing is though, lyrics were definitely not their strong suit...

OK, I thought based on our ongoing PM conversation, there wouldn't be any further problems with this... and then I come in here and read this. This is too egregious to just pass off with a friendly. You have earned an infraction for trolling. Comments to PM.

But I just answered a post?

Looky here, lot of folks had the same experience you apparently had with a goose, with ducks. Ducks aren't exactly docile and they can be highly territorial. I know of people who are afraid of ducks because they've been attacked by some while on a walk or something.

Here's a decent picture comparing the two. Ducks aren't exactly that much smaller, and they aren't 'pussycats". The difference in size would be meaningless to most people especially a little kid.

This is not fair, you've just banned me forever. In a couple of hours, my account will be history for nothing. I just justified what I said before. Why are you people so cruel? There's no humanity in this place.

That"s it. I am banned forever now.

I reiterate... comments to PM. I will refrain at this time from issuing an infraction for ignoring mod instructions, but this stops now.
