NFL 2020 Season: We're gonna bite a kneecap off

Washington Football Team. Weirdest, stupidest, most snottily self-righteous bit of cancel culture gone wild I ever saw.

Nothing particularly wrong with changing a football team name in response to changes in the culture. But for crying out loud, if you're going to change your name, change it. Don't just decide not to have one.

Jets hiring SF DC Robert Saleh as head coach. Good luck to this guy in what can only be described as the most dysfunctional dumpster fire of an organization anywhere. Hopefully his intensity counts for something.

Titans OC Arthur Smith looks to be the next Falcons head coach.

With Urban Meyer in Jax, at least they're trying new options instead of the usual retreads.

You have to remember, some asshole in Maryland 'd a bunch of potential team names before Snyder finally caved. He claimed he wasn't after the money, but...whatever. But, Snyder has a few $$$, pay for one of them and move on.

I actually like the current name, it is unique among NFL team names.

If he’s half as capable as he is intimidating looking, the rest of the AFC may be in trouble.

I used to think so but doing some research and hearing from Natives in my community I see the point of view. And this has been coming for decades now, so I was not surprise. I hope they come up with a new name, but it works for now.

I did not say that they were necessarily wrong to change the name. I said they should CHANGE the name, not do without one. As an example, let's say you were a huge Johnny Cash fan, and you named your boy Sue. You later realize this was a really frickin' bad idea and decide to rename him. So you change his name to Bill or George, not "Person" or "Human".

Sounds like Titans OC Arthur Smith will be the next Falcons Head Coach.

EDIT: Arthur Smith is now the Falcons Head Coach.

And the Lions are looking at...Dan Campbell. God, this team.

Former Dolphins interim head coach, I wish we would have kept him, to be honest. Be interesting to see what he's learned and brings with him to Detroit from New Orleans.

Something different. Professional football from Japan, the X-League is their highest professional level. The Obic Seagulls vs. Fujitsu Frontiers in Japan X Bowl 34.

I think a cool addition to the game would be that if a team scores a TD either on their initial possession, or from more than 50 yards, it scores 9 points instead of 6 (yes, a pick 6 is now a pick 9). That way, you'd see more long bombs, reverses, trick plays, etc. I mean, they added the 2-point conversion, and the 32 yard extra point to encourage it. So why not?

More seriously, maybe one of the lesser leagues could try it, and if it makes the game more exciting, the NFL could take notice.

Sigh... Looks like Von Miller is under criminal investigation for reasons not yet disclosed. Local gossip says it might be some domestic incident. :( Sad... I got the impression that Elway never really liked him that much (despite what he's publicly said in his favor), even though he was arguably the heart and soul of the Broncos defense. I suspect if those goes where it looks like it might be going, Miller will likely be handed his walking papers before the ink is dry on his arraignment.

Well, crap.

I didn't expect to win, I’m glad the Rams gave it a decent effort.

Rogers...he’s a sorcerer that one.
