Grant, this is the worst year ever since we've been keeping track. 23 so far this year, I think. She was only 55 and Grant Imahara at 49. I'm too unhappy, my man.

He only had a few scenes in the TNG episode The Chase.

I knew him from numerous British TV shows and films. While such a seasoned and experienced actor could give the performance he did on The Chase episode with his eyes shut, he had the on screen presence to give the speech at the end of the episode with an air of sincerity and believability that other actors would fail to do.

It also made me realise that the series and others in the franchise had the quality of actors who only came on and only appeared for a few scenes.

That is very sad. Always liked him. He also did a fantastic job in Last of the Mohicans. Great actor.

I know from an interview with him (which I would have been involved in if it hadn't been for tube problems; as it was I just got to write up the tape) that he liked that part because he could imply that he and Picard might be comrades once current hostility was over.

Did anyone note the passing of original series actor Erik Holland or next Generation actor Edward Penn?

I posted about Holland a while back but Penn is new to me. I'll check it out.

Actor Ben Cross who played Sarek in the 2009 Star Trek movie has passed away. Rest in peace.
Coincidentally he and Mark Lenard both died at the age of 72. James Frain needs to get his affairs in order by age 71 I guess.

Huh... The "Sarek Curse". It's starting to feel like Babylon Five around here...

Poor James Frain what's it like to know your body clock is at 20 years and ticking down.

John Sheridan would be a good source of knowing what that's like...

This is going to sound so wrong but here goes: Leonard Nimoy’s death: biggest impact

I honestly thought Tiny Lister had died several years ago. I liked him better as the Galactic President (or whatever his exact title) in The Fifth Element than as Klaag (Klaang?).

Peter Mark Richman who appeared in the Next Generation episode "The Neutral Zone" -- has passed away at age 93
He literally did every show on television in the 1950s and 60s. Alfred Hitchcock Presents The Outer Limits The Twilight Zone Wild Wild West The Invaders...... and on and on and on. And sadly he now appears to be the first Star Trek actor to die in 2021. Rest in peace.

I had read about his death but didn't recognize his name with Trek. I have seen him in many tv shows, especially Outer Limits and Twilight Zone. A great actor.
