Yes, but as we have learned, if Discovery does it it's bad, and even if past Star Trek has done something that doesn't make it goodNot the silliest thing in Star Trek tbh

Just like blowing up solar systems.Honestly you fuck an alien ghost one time and you never hear the end of it do you?
Hang on now. Ghost sex isn't on par with blowing up solar systems surely?Just like blowing up solar systems.
Oh right.I was just referencing Stargate, your post was very similar to a quote from the show, except it's about blowing up a Solar System not a sex ghost.
Ghosts aren't supposed to have sex with the living. That's the first thing they tell you when you die.Hang on now. Ghost sex isn't on par with blowing up solar systems surely?
Not necessarily. The legislation varies depending which country you die in.Ghosts aren't supposed to have sex with the living. That's the first thing they tell you when you die.
Not even top 10.Not the silliest thing in Star Trek tbh
There are pills that can give psychic powers and water that makes you move so fast you can't be seen.Spock came back from the dead because the Genesis Device used protomatter. Also if you go too fast you turn into a salamander.
I don't hate Wink of An Eye or Plato's Stepchildren. Not a fan of Sub-Rosa, though. Threshold wasn't as bad as it's rep. I reserve my ire for Alternative Factor, Masks and Move Along Home.I feel like citing the worst episodes that everyone hates out of the past half-century of Star Trek as precedent isn’t the rousing endorsement of Discovery it’s being presented as.
Its more a matter of precedent and standards to me. If it bothers you I can understand it taking away enjoyment. But often I see Discovery cited as the worst, ruining the brand, poorly written that will end the franchise. That's when I goI feel like citing the worst episodes that everyone hates out of the past half-century of Star Trek as precedent isn’t the rousing endorsement of Discovery it’s being presented as.
I mean, all that is true. And it will remain so until SNW comes along. But often I see Discovery cited as the worst, ruining the brand, poorly written that will end the franchise.
I don't watch Star Trek for lessons in science. But treating scientific accuracy on Discovery as an unique flaw while dismissing it in the other Treks is just special pleading.I feel like citing the worst episodes that everyone hates out of the past half-century of Star Trek as precedent isn’t the rousing endorsement of Discovery it’s being presented as.
That could be a fun game: What do you think is the silliest thing in Trek? I imagine people would pick very different things XDNot the silliest thing in Star Trek tbh
There have been many energy beings all across the shows. But the science of Dr. Crusher's grandma's candle with the fuck ghost in it is legit.
That's their favorite argument: "Disco's silly things are no problem because there were other silly things that I found stupid myself" ...logical only to them, I guess XDI feel like citing the worst episodes that everyone hates out of the past half-century of Star Trek as precedent isn’t the rousing endorsement of Discovery it’s being presented as.
