To begin with I actually thought it was Nilsson and they’d just forgotten to dye her hair back blonde after the MU episodes!
It was probably a wig in all honesty.

Well not quite Ensign Ricky - not quite as blatant as meeting a random redshirt in the transporter room and him being shot dead 30 seconds after beaming down, but I'd hazard guess that it won't be a million miles away.
Remember how Airiam suddenly had a load of character development thrown at her just before she died?
Something like that.
Yeah. Why not.So Lt. Hawk, basically?
It's why they hate Andorians. Fire and ice don't mix.Hey, yeah, where is Linus? I'd have expected him to use Saurian fire-breathing abilities to fight against the Emerald Chain.
Yes, Suarians can breathe fire. It's never been canonically stated that they don't, therefore they do.

It would've been amazing to have Ryn and Linus side-by-side...
TOS: There are 438 people on the Enterprise; so there are crew members we never see.Discovery: How do they operate the ship with so few crewmembers?!?
Also Discovery: Why are we seeing new crewmember?!? Where the hell is the other crewmembers were used to seeing?!?

Fun Fact: Lt. Hadley and Lt. Leslie each appeared in more TOS episodes than Sulu -- and only a a handful fewer than Scotty or Uhura. Hadley was in 60 episodes and Leslie was in 57. Sulu was in 51, Scotty 65, and Uhura 67.
Granted, Hadley and Leslie were not always specifically named, but I assume that unnamed Hadley sitting in the Navigator seat is the same Hadley who does get mentioned by name while sitting there.
Leslie was often referred to by different names, among them Ryan and Connor. The novels have partially retconned that by saying Leslie's full name was Ryan Leslie.Granted, Hadley and Leslie were not always specifically named,

Then there's the time in one of the early episodes, Leslie was on the bridge, Kirk gets on the intercomm, and while he's delivering his message, we get a shot of personnel in a corridor listening to Kirk's message, with Leslie among them, suggesting there must have been two Leslies, Ryan Leslie and Connor Leslie, perhaps? This could also explain why we continued to see a Leslie after seemingly being killed in Obsession, it was in fact a different Leslie.
