Jennifer Lien Arrested Again?

Anytime this thread gets updated I always worry something bad has happened to her then I double worry that someone isn't nearby to catch Lynx should he faint from the terrible news.:)

Jason
Ah, don't worry. I think I can manage to avoid fainting. :)

But I admit that I always get a bit nervous when threads like this shows up or are updated.

As for news about Jennifer, I don't mind as long as they are honest, respectful and free from sensationalist news drivel or rumors. I think that Drone has managed in keeping the reports objective and balanced.

If Lien and her family and agent want us to know personal details we'll know them.

I'm only looking forward to reading Ms. Lien is doing okay, there's progress in her recovery and having a stable and healthy life. What she's going through is a daunting uphill battle and I root for her managing that.

Has Lien ever expressed any desire to return to acting I wonder. I mean people sometimes do go away and make a comeback. I would think she would even be very popular doing fan films if she ever wanted to make some money of her Trek background.

And so do I!

No

Enjoyed reading the pages of this thread as a newcomer and to echo what's been said I wish Jennifer the best. I love Kes and her gentle nature and one of the defining moments in the whole series is when Kes raises concerns with Janeway about the way she has noticed how crew members treat The Doctor. It's something no-one else would have thought of doing and it makes Janeway reconsider how she views The Doctor as someone who deserves consideration. A very touching moment.

It's quite strange to think that at the 'current' point in the Star Trek timeline - 2399/2400 - Kes probably passed away from old age twenty years ago.

Yes but also think about how all the TOS crew is also likely long dead in Picard as well. Even Scotty's adventures in the shuttlecraft have also likely have ended for some time.

Oh no, she's still alive and well. In the beginning of 2377, she was given a human lifespan by Q, joined a Maquis ship which also had been transported by The Caretaker to the Delta Quadrant, arrived to the Alpha Quadrant a year later and is currently living on a human colony between Bajor and the Tzenketi Alliance.

It is weird to imagine 177-year-old Scotty out there in the galaxy trying to make a life for himself. Chances are that if he were ever again mentioned it'd be said that Captain Montgomery Scott died years earlier.

Or McCoy. It's amazing he was alive in season 1 of TNG. To still be alive during Picard time would be mind altering. Still with Bones my head canon for his death has always been that comic book were both Scotty and Spock come and visit him in a hospital. Spock ends up being by his side when he dies though they don't show the death on the page it's very much implied.

If not by Picard, certainly by Discovery season 3...

Is this from the novels? Star Trek Online?

No, unfortunately not.

It's from a story called "Coming Home" which I wrote many years ago which I actually tried to sell to Paramount in order to make a Kes comeback in season 7 possible.

There were people at paramount who liked it, unfortunately not the right people.

Avialable on the Kes Website.

The best Star Trek Voyager episode never made!

Even better than all the episodes we would have had if Braga had been allowed to Year of Hell for whole season instead of just a two-parter?
