What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

The main problem with the relationship is that it didn't have time to develop because it was the last season and they had a million things on their plate.
Once again why I think Ezri should have shown up by season 4 or 5.

I'd have rathered Jadzia just stuck around for the finsl season.

Besides Ezri's whole journey is based around her joining with Dax and coming to terms with the consequences - how people who knew Jadzia react to her and can she live up to the symbiont's previous host.

Thin is I vastly prefer both Ezri to Jadzia and Nicole de Boer to Terry Farrel. I thought Jadzia was a very badly written and obnoxious character and Ezri was a lot better handled both with general characterization and with how Trills worked.
(Just to be clear I don't have any negative feelings regarding Terry Farrel, just Jadzia. With Farrel I just liked Nicole de Boer better)

Yeah, Ezri's journey is based around that, but at least she had a journey, unlike Jadzia who was just the best at everything. I feel in some ways we got a better idea at who Ezri was and what makes her tick in one season than who Jadzia is, like we know nothing about Jadzia's family or who she was before she joined. And her relationship with Worf was solely based on Kurzon liking Klingon culture.

While I like both, Jadzia became super obnoxious with the whole Klingon and Worf thing. It was not enjoyable. Now, I might be biased because Bashier was my favorite character on DS9 and I hated that he and Jadzia didn't get together, one of the few times I've given a crap about a fictional relationship in Star Trek.

Ezri is a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed her journey. So, point to Ezri for being more interesting.

Anything would have been better than Ezri/Julian, they had so little chemistry it veered into chemistry deficit.

At least the writers knew the relationship was crap, so they didn't actually try to develop it. It just "happened" in the turbolift.

I didn't see enough of Jake and Ezri together to have an opinion on them.

Terry was the better actress but Ezri was the superior Dax host and character.

Ezri was built on Jadzia. The former was an example of a "normal" Joined Trill: carefully trained, evaluated, hand selected, and paired with a symbiont who was compatible with her. Ezri changed the dynamic: no training, no evaluation, no nothing. Without Jadzia to pave the way, there would have been far less scope for Ezri's character to develop.

Ezri sucked.

Jadzia ruled.

Maybe it's a translation thing, or considering why would they have independently come up with dividing the galaxy into 4 quadrants, maybe they took it from us. I just googled "kilometre in different languages" and a lot of them just seem like different variations on the original version. Maybe it's the same in space. We stole the Class-M thing from the Vulcans. The Female Changeling probably just stole it and had Weyoun send everyone a memo that they're using it now.

Of course, because Kilometers and grams are part of SI, invented pretty recently (1790s France by the rationalists). They haven't had a chance to diverge between languages and cultural groups. Look for miles or leagues and see how many different sizes there are.

nah, the Jadzia/Worf stuff was so good. You can’t lose it.

I would have just found a way to keep Jadzia around for S7. Even if it was a super limited role.

I think Ziyal & Jake and would've better and more interesting relationship, given both of their shared experiences as civilians in war and their fathers playing significant parts in said war.(there also could've been romeo and juilet-esque stuff)
As for Ezri I always prefer her than Jadzia, she was a more engaging character to me.
