NFL 2020 Season: We're gonna bite a kneecap off

I think Dwayne Haskins has put a big shitty bow on his time in Washington. 14/28, 154 yards and 2 INT in a game they had to win. He'll be more remembered more for violating COVID protocol than anything he did on the field.

Not sure I see any other NFL teams rushing out to sign him.

Good riddance to him if he’s dropped. Really fed up with fuck ups on that team. I wonder if he was another one of Snyder’s “favorites”.

I think he was a major reach for a first round pick. He simply hadn't had enough time in college to grow up. He only was a starter for one season and I always struggle with teams that grab a guy like that in the first round, especially a team like Washington where the coaching situation is never exactly stable. Haskins is already on his second head coach and offensive system in two years in the NFL.

The Rams’ offense costs us a second game in row. Just terrible play by Goff, et al.

They’d better pull their collective heads out.

:scream:

Yeah, I’m a Jaguars fan today.

Yeah, sorry. But at least our o-line has been looking like an o-line.

Bears look likely to keep Matt Nagy for 2021, and possibly Ryan Pace after the win today in Jacksonville. Rumors say they could also resign Mitchell Trubisky.

Just enough wins to save jobs and probably still miss the playoffs (or at least get bounced in the first round). Ai yi yi.

Goff's thumb is broken. He may not be able to start against Arizona, with a playoff spot on the line.

:scream:

Washington cuts QB Dwayne Haskins...

Per league rules, Haskins will be subject to waivers. If he goes unclaimed in the next 24 hours, he’ll be free to sign with any team. As a first-round pick his initial rookie deal is fully guaranteed, meaning that any team that claims him would be on the hook for $1.8MM in 2021 and $2.46MM in 2022.

I can't see anyone committing that much money to someone that seems a can or two short of a six-pack.

There is you a new QB, @1001001!

He'll only cost you $2.4 million in cap space if you pick him up now! What a deal!

Yeah, I meant literally four dollars and twenty two cents.

We had an experienced back-up in Blake Bortles but we let him go. Our only back-up is John Wolford, who's never played a down in the NFL. I don't see how Goff plays with a broken thumb on his throwing hand...

Still, it could be worse. I could be a Raiders fan...:p

And us Bears needed you guys to win that one since we're playing the Packers, and I don't see us winning that game unless the Pack rests a lot of starters.

I'm pretty sure the Packers are still playing for HFA, so I doubt they'll rest anyone.

Even if we lose to Arizona, we back into the playoffs if the Bears lose.

Not that we'll go anywhere...:(

'Fins play the Bills, who I hope win tonight so that
1) The Patriots' noses are shoved even deeper into the mud.
2) The Bills win their 12th and have no reason to run their starters in week 17 - which gives the 'Phins the easiest way to get into the playoffs and a first round match against (most likely) the Titans.

Playing the Titans is just about the best option for the 'Phins as the Titans can be contained (with effort) and their defense is flaky enough to allow some points.
I can't see them beating anyone else other than, perhaps, the Steelers. The Phins offense is too anemic to get far in the playoffs, although they have stood tall against several good teams this year.

Goff ended up having surgery on his thumb, and is out for the Arizona game. So, it appears, are two of our running backs.

Time to ride the John Wolford/Malcolm Brown train to the playoffs!

Seriously our defense is going to have to shut out Arizona...oh, and GO GREEN BAY!

Bet he wishes he hadn’t pissed off Brady in the off-season like he did.

Last night’s game was SO lopsided, I actually found myself... feeling... bad... for the Patriots.

I think I need professional help now...

WFT fans should buck up, Haskins wasn't the fastest cut 1st round draft pick. That honor goes to Demitrius Underwood of the Minnesota Vikings. Player that never even made it to the regular season.

Underwood was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round (29th overall) of the 1999 NFL Draft, after his stock rose with his pre-draft workouts. On August 1, he signed a five-year, $5.3 million contract with a $1.7 million bonus. He walked out of training camp the next day on August 2, after the first practice and never returned. On August 13, he was waived and forfeited a $1.75 million bonus saying he could not resolve the conflict between playing football and serving his Christian faith.

Although he eventually returned, he was released later that month and had to give back his signing bonus to the Vikings.
