The NX-01 was in the fleet museum. The name was technically available, but it would have felt weird to use it. That is until Starfleet launched a class of vessels all named after famous starships of the past (the Starship class).
Was that old Enterprise Decker shows Ilya in TMP before or after the NX? I can never remember.
If you include ships of the sea, there have been many ships named Enterprise. The displays only showed a few.Was that old Enterprise Decker shows Ilya in TMP before or after the NX? I can never remember.
Into Darkness retconned it to being before the Phoenix. The Ringship is before the NX.
Controversial opinion? Star Trek doesn't have to be taken literally. No it didn't. The order of the models on Admiral Marcus' desk has nothing to do with their exact chronological sequence.
For me “Classic Trek” means TOS, TAS, and the TOS moviesTo me, "Classic Star Trek" means TOS.
Whenever someone refers to TNG-ENT as "Classic Trek", it looks weird to me. Yet calling it "Old Trek" somehow doesn't look weird, which is what I call any Star Trek from 1966 to 2005. "Classic Trek" is more like something I equate with "Classic Cars". Whereas an old car isn't necessarily a classic, it's just an old car.
Same here. The films and TAS stand apart. TOS is its own animal. To me, "Classic Star Trek" means TOS.

Technically the 1701-D holodeck computer says: "There have been five Federation ships with that name." So that gives the episode a convenient out when it comes to not mentioning the NX-01. Although Scotty is so vague about which Enterprise bridge he wants to see that technically it could also have been the bridge of the ringship or one of the 20th and 21st century aircraft carriers.![]()
Vash and all the women who had the title 'great love of Kirk'Beverly and Edith Keeler. Accept no substitutes.

Starfleet instructors like John Gill also admired the Nazis, too.And she was in love with Adolph Hitler, just like all the worst Commies!
I always hated the idea that Sol was on the border of Alpha and Beta quadrants. In my head canon only Romulans were partly in Beta. Kind of Like how Russia's land mass is mostly in Asia, but its political, economical and cultural identity is European. All other Alpha powers (Federation, Klingons, Breen, Cardasians,...) are firmly in the alpha quadrant.
I agree that it's stupid.I always hated the idea that Sol was on the border of Alpha and Beta quadrants. In my head canon only Romulans were partly in Beta.
