Would you be okay of Mando started using the Millennium Falcon next season?

You know I didn't think if this when I made the thread and maybe it's because I am not even sure if the show had been announced when I made this thread but I think I might know why they might also not use the Falcon. They might be saving the ship for Lando to have on his show. I suspect the show is going to be set before Solo so they can not only use the ship but also bring back LS-37.

I think that the next season will involve mandalor and he will work a lot with and against Bo-Katan and her people, with the they have the imperial interceptor, the imperial shuttle and probably a full complement of assorted small ships, I don’t see him getting a proper new ship next year. Maybe afterwards, but not he falcon.

Couple ideas:

You know I think it would kind of cool if they simply kept Moff Gideon's Star Destroyer. Maybe that will part of the story next year. Finding a crew to operate it. Droids could do lots of the work but then also recruit hired hands for the rest.

It’s a Light Cruiser

While much smaller than a Star Destroyer, it’s still way too big to be Mando’s personal ship. Starbuck is going to use it for her own goals anyway.

I could see them going back to a ship like the Razor Crest, just as a way to save money by being able to keep using all of the Razor Crest material they put together for the first two seasons.

Slave-2 has to be the laziest, most fugly, asinine EU design ever. With all the decent unused concept art designs floating about, someone thought to themselves "I know! a low polygon model of a shoe! That's metal as fuck!"

Clearly a reference to the Empire Strikes Back asteroid belt scene.

Depending on how the "Retake Mandalore" story turns out, I wonder if the light cruiser will be home for Mando and crew for some of next year before a new "hero" ship is introduced.

Especially since they already got the sets built. It makes sense to me. If he needs to go out he could take either a Tie fighter or the Imperial Cruiser depending on the task. It would create an new type of situation as well in that you would have to deal with a ships crew and it wouldn't just be him out their own his own with Yougu like it has been. I have a feeling recruiting people will be a big thing next season and each week he goes recruits so and so to the cause and gets into a adventure that week with the bigger storyline sort of playing secondary until it leads up to a epic final 2 episodes or so. Also he will see Yougu once early in the season and sort of set up something in which will payoff at the end of the season where he returns to him.

I could even see them maybe doing one episode without Mando at all and it's just Luke and Yougu and at the end Luke realizes Yogu needs to be reunited with Mando and asks Ashoka or someone to take the child back to him. Or something like that. People would go crazy for a single Luke and Yogu episode and it would also sort of test the waters of seeing how feasible a Luke series or limited series to be more accurate would be with either a recasted Luke or a deepfake Luke.

Jason

Grogu, not Yogu.
I can't really see them doing a whole episode with Luke, unless they decide to just recast. The deaging seems like it would be pretty complicated to do for an entire episode.

And really expensive...

Well their episodes do sometimes run short so they would only need for it to hold up for 30 plus minutes. Also we have seen movies like Gemini Man and The Irishman so I think they could do it. You would I think want a non CGI character or two though also in the story so you can cut away to moments without the CGI. Also Luke can be wearing his cloak a lot and of course this just assuming they don't do what everyone sort of expects to happen at some point and just hire Sebastian Stan to play the role.

I'd say give him another original ship design (definitely not Slave 1 either, hideous piece of bantha fodder), expand the universe instead of having it clinging onto the previously established and familiar aspects.

Those are big multi-hundred dollar movies, and as good as the effects in The Mandalorian are, I can't really see them spending the kind of money and time needed for something like that on a single episode.
And even if the effects weren't a concern, I just can't see them going that far off from their focus on Din Djarin. Even though Grogu was the big breakout character of the show, it's still pretty solidly focused on Din, not him. The show is The Mandalorian afterall, not The Baby Yoda Show, or even The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda.
