TNG Uniform

I know the assumption from dialogue and that Memory Alpha takes is that Yor's uniform is what a Kelvinverse 2379 uniform looks like. I prefer the upthread theory that Yor had at least one mission posing as a TNG-era crewman in the 2350s or early 2360s, and that is the holoimage we are seeing. They specified him as being a Lieutenant Commander, and the uniform clearly shows no pips, in either the original or "corrected" versions of the scene. That's why I assume the Lt. Cdr is posing as an unranked crewman.

The real reason, I suspect, that he was wearing that uniform, was because they needed a huge neckline to accommodate that weird neck frill thing they insist on giving their Betelgeusians. The TNG era uniforms are the only uniforms, I believe, that can be adjusted to fit.

This possibility reminds me strongly on Crewman Daniels. Could it be that he was from the Kelvinverse too? Might explain his cryptic comment about being from Illinois and the way he talked about Earth in "Cold Front"...

"TUCKER: And you didn't grow up in Illinois.
DANIELS: Oh, I'm from a place called Illinois, sir. Just not the one you're familiar with.
TUCKER: It's good to know Earth will still be around in nine hundred years.
DANIELS: That depends on how you define Earth."

No. According to Daniels, the Xindi attack didn't happen in his timeline. The Xindi attack definitely happened in the Kelvin timeline, as it's mentioned in Beyond.

Daniels would appear to be from another timeline, separate from the Prime and Kelvin timelines.

I support the 3x Time-Lines theory where First Contact created a new Alternate Universe inadvertently.

TimeLine: Prime
- ST: = (TOS, TAS, <TMP, TWoK, TSfS, TVH, TFF, TUC>, TNG, DS9, VOY, <GEN, FC, INS, NEM>, LD)

TimeLine: First Contact AKA (Neo Prime)
- ST: = (ENT, DIS, SNW, PIC, PRO, S31)

TimeLine: Kelvin (NOTE: Spawned from First Contact / Neo Prime Time Lines)
- ST: = (<ST09, STID, STB>)

Because of the 3x TimeLines theory that I support, it corroborates with Daniels statement of the Xindi attack didn't happen in his timeline which would be the Prime TimeLine.

Might be that he was from another timeline/universe.

But i'm sure now that when he said "That depends on how you define Earth." to Tucker he didn't mean to imply that Earth was something else in the future. He just wanted to say that what became of Earth depends on which Earth you are talking about (PU Earth, Kelvin Earth, Mirror Earth etc).

Why do you have Lower Decks grouped with Prime and not Neo Prime? Seems strange to have one outlier from the other recent series for no reason.

A) No comment on that thread you linked to.
B) I lean toward the three-timeline theory myself and I have for a while.

From the on-screen evidence so far, Show Runner/Producer Mike McMahon is only really including TNG / Berman era Trek continuity stuff in Lower Decks. And since Lower Decks primary focus is on that era of stuff, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he's continuing his Lower Decks series in the vein of Berman Era Trek with a touch of the Mike McMahon spin for storyline stuff.

All the stuff from Kurtzman Trek or JJ Trek isn't really included in S1 of LDS. So I'm willing to give Mike McMahon the benefit of the doubt until things change. Continuity stuff from Discovery & Picard aren't really being mentioned or included within Lower Decks so far.
