Having explored the Enterprise sets on the (admittedly very crude) Steam VR TOS set recreation, I never noticed how small the Enterprise sets are. I know TV makes everything look bigger, but wow.
While I have noticed this before I wonder why Spock was making the canister in Spectre of the Gun. Surely it should have been Scotty. I know Spock can do these things but isn't it more in Scotty's line of work to make stuff and Spock design stuff?
Medium case: Spock assisting Scotty with the crude crystals in "Elaan of Troyius." Doohan actually complained about it, saying (in effect) that the Chief Engineer should never need a boss to come down from the bridge and fix stuff for him.
Spock was assisting Scotty with the intermix formula in TOS S1 "The Naked Time".
If that's the case James Doohan must have had a real fit during the filming of ST:TMP.
If that's the case James Doohan must have had a real fit during the filming of ST:TMP. "Elaan of Troyius" wasn't the first time they had Mr. Spock assisting Scotty. Spock was assisting Scotty with the intermix formula in TOS S1 "The Naked Time".
Plus in "Elaan of Troyius", Spock was the one who ran the crystals down to Scotty in Engineering from the bridge. It was hardly like he was just going down there to make sure Scotty did the job right.
They were around Elaan's neck. Why were they on the Bridge?
They were around Elaan's neck.
It has some fun moments and is perhaps not among the worst of Season 3.Oooh fancy jewelry...
I've never seen that episode
